Very true :) I didn't think I was going to be transferred. Someone mentioned one of the transfer criteria is if your local office is really backed up they will do it. My office would be LA, and they are pretty busy I believe...

Well Blackbird, Icepeck... Guess what!!??

So did I! I received the appointment notice and Marc and I are scheduled to appear in San Francisco on June 2nd at 9.05 am!!!

I am SO excited! I feel like everything finally started to move along.

I haven't received any news since my Biometrics appointment on that was April 12th and had had no touches. On the "My Case Status" page of the USCIS website, none of my application statuses are updated so the letter was a huge and delightful surprise to us.

I hope the EAD will follow soon!

Grats to everyone! :)

Yay!!

Our Timeline:

08/01/2009: Both Marc and I arrived in Seattle, WA. (Anaïs on a J-1 Visa until March 20th, 2010.)

08/13/2009: We arrived in Berkeley, CA and moved in our current apartment.

09/25/2009: After 5 years together, we get married!

02/07/2010: Marc gets a big promotion and his salary is doubled: this is too big of a career opportunity for him: we decide to stay in the US.

02/08/2010: We start to work on getting a AOS application together.

03/07/2010: We send the application via USPS to the Chicago Lockbox.

03/10/2010: Application delivered in Chicago, 1:50 pm.

03/17/2010: Series of USCIS notification of acceptance e-mails received.

03/18/2010: Checks cashed this morning.

03/22/2010: All 4 NOA-1 received!

04/12/2010: Biometrics appointment at 12.00 at the Oakland, CA support center today. Everything went smoothly.

04/30/2010: Interview letter received in the mail! We had had no news and no touch since April 13th so the letter was unexpected!

05/14/2010: AOS and I-130 touched.

05/17/2010: AOS, I-130, I-131, and I-765 touched.

05/17/2010: Two confirmation e-mails received: AP and EAP approved!

06/01/2010: EAD card received today in the mail!

06/02/2010: AOS interview in San Francisco.

06/04/2010: AOS confirmation e-mail received!! Card production ordered!

Oh and by the way, do you guys know if that means that we probably won't get any RFEs? Or that at least there's a much lower chance that we'll get any? I'm crossing my fingers!

Also, did your status get updated on the website? I keep refreshing the page but it really intrigues me that none of my applications have moved from the "Initial review" phase... And that my I-485 is actually still on "Acceptance"!! (It has always been that way ever since I first used the website to check on my case.)

I have signed up both for e-mail and text warnings but I have never ever received any update via e-mail/text!! (Asides from the initial confirmation for the USCIS Acceptance Confirmation when they received the package.)

Congratulations to everyone who is one step closer!!

With RFE's, don't forget you can get one at any stage of the process, though I would say that now you're at the interview stage, the chance of getting one is pretty low.

Don't worry about your status not getting updated....sometimes, that system just doesn't work! It never changed when I was doing the K1, and this time, I never got any notifications wither, expect for the initial acceptance.
