Limited hours on campus, if available.

He would have had to show he had the funds for his year to have received the visa.

I copied this from my school website. This is from the international student questions and answers.

Q. Can I work while I attend school?

A. Yes, students may work on campus up to 20 hours a week. However, campus employment is difficult to find. Permission to work off campus must be granted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and is given in only specific situations.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

Usually, international student not allowed to legally work. There are exceptions to this, usually tied into 'having tuition fees waived in return for research hours on campus on approved project'.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

He can work limited hours on campus.

He can not work otherwise.

Quite simple.

20 hours during the semester.

40 hours in the summer.

This employment HAS to be on campus. In my four years at college, I worked in the dining hall, in the History department as a student assistant, in the library and held several internship projects with department professors.

If he's caught working illegally off campus, his visa will be revoked.
