Mom spanked me a few times, but the regular parental slap on the ####### as a warning and not to hurt. It was about the humiliation of being spanked. :P

But yes, each time I tried making a little scandal in public she'd just look in my eyes and say "don't" and I learned she meant it and she actually tells me that after I tried twice I was never a bad child in public at all. I'd still ask for stuff in a store, and would either get it or a get a no and live with it.

I hope to have the same control as mom did, 'cus whatever she did I've always been a super polite, responsible, independent kid that my friend's parents liked and all, and mom is my best friend, so she did something right.

Let's pick this one:

So racial profiling is a joke? It's fiction and doesn't really happen in America, and doesn't have real effect on the lives of real people?

You're new in this country. I suggest you learn a bit more about this issue and its history before just having a chuckle.

I don't think racial profiling is a joke, it's pretty serious, no doubt, even a lot of Muslim people are innocently profiled an wrongly treated. I think what the actual line is is what's funny and true.

Actually, YOU seem to misunderstand what's being said. The whole point of the quote that you seem to think is "racial profilistic" is actually pointing out that it's a pretty stupid comment. For example, if 1/2 the population are women then 1/2 the population is going to get pregnant at some stage of their lives. That's not sexist, just half the population have OVARIES. Do you understand?

In the "black" example it's the law of probability if 70% of the population is black, that more black people will be committing crimes because there's MORE of them.

They will never understand it.

If our prisons are filled with blacks, there must be something wrong with the prison system -

blacks couldn't possibly commit more crimes than other ethnicities!

Oh I understand all right. Do you understand that the black population of NO US city is 70%, whereas a disproportionate number of drivers who are pulled over are black? Hence the example is hypothetical and designed to "make right" something which is not.

Actually,

The reason why there were alot of black in the first place goes all the way back to the civil rights movement, and that those who were prosecuted or whatever could only afford public defenders. There's a study that most of the blacks that got jail time was the public defenders making plea bargains with the prosecutors where the blacks would prefer to stay in jail for several years over decades of potential jail time or whatever. There's alot of reasons why the stats is that high. We cannot simply look at one place to find answers in a cultural debate. Every case is different. Stereotypes isn't a way to solve problems. Heck, the stereotype goes that there is not girl that could be very smart in math and physics. I know one who is leading the physicists around the world, Professor Lisa Randall from Harvard!

The Bronx is not a city in the USA. The population of the Bronx is not > 70% black.

Many US cities have neighborhoods with a >70% black population. If your argument against

racial profiling is simply numeric, then I guess it's ok to profile in Laconia, Williambridge,

Haffen Park, Wakefield and Edenwald which are 70-75% black according to the map?

The OP, and the statement Shani finds so funny:

When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling; it is the Law of Probability.

I'm just going with what was stated, dude. If you wanna make up your own shite, have at it.
