I am trying to become a Feb 2010 CSC filer. I mailed the I-129F package from the Post Office Certified return receipt requested on Monday, Feb 1, 2010. It is Friday, Feb 5. I have not got the receipt back from the Post Office, I keep entering the postal number in to their web-site and keep getting the same information, the package was accepted at my post office February 1.

I should have sent it Fed Ex overnight to get in the line and start processing. I am so paranoid that the whole package was lost and I will need to redo everything.

I will be able to join the Feb. 2010 CSC club after I see the receipt back from the post office, the check is casehed, and I get NOA1.

Good luck to all of us.

Bainbridge,

If you have online access to your bank you can view the check that USCIS cashed. On the back of the check is the receipt number (will start with a WAC for CSC filings and EAC for VSC filings). Then go to: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do and enter your receipt number. You will see that USCIS has received your petition and you can sign up for email and text message updates.

Wow, 63 days is fantastic. Congratulations on that part. I do not think we should all expect to be approved in 63 days. I think there is something special about your fiance(e) that CSC pushed it right through. :D

Good luck with the next stage.

Hi bainbridge. I can see on the USPS web site that they delivered my I-129F package to CSC at 10:37 this morning, Feb 8. It took 7 full days. But that is only the info from the USPS. Now I need to wait for an email from CSC or to see my check cashed at my bank.

That's insane! It didn't even have to travel to another state! Small comfort, but at least you know it's there now. Did you send it Priority?

Anyone else feel like this is all rather surreal? lol...

It's been such a long time getting this process rolling, I feel like we've been at it forever. But it's honestly slowly starting to dawn on me that "OMG, we're actually DOING this! We're officially waiting for our NOA1."

I spent most of Sunday afternoon going through the boxes of our stuff in my parent's garage. Back in '96 when they moved to the US for my Dad's job, I'd had to pack all my stuff into 3 separate lots. 1 to go to university in London with me, 1 to go to New York where I was supposed to be spending every vacation and 1 to go into storage. They were initially only supposed to be there for 4 years max. It turned into 10 and by the time they came back to the UK and got all the storage boxes back out, I was in my 30s with a child and home of my own. It was fun rediscovering all the stuff that I'd kept hold of, including a couple of old toys, tapes, diaries

And this time, I'm doing the same, except without the storage. It's 3 piles of "stuff to take with, stuff to sell and stuff to throw out." And the take with stuff has to be kept right down because I've learnt that there's actually very little that anyone needs to transport half way around the world. But when I sit and actually contemplate what I'm doing, it gets daunting. And exciting. But nevertheless quite scary.

I can't imagine doing this without having spent much time with my fiance, without having stepped foot in the US nevermind seeing where I'll be living, knowing his family and friends... kudos to all who are

Audy and I have not gotten to that stage yet.

I have wondered to myself how much stuff does she have, how much stuff does she want to bring to the USA, etc...I have read on other Thai only threads the kinds of things you should buy in Thailand to bring to the USA. All the specialized cooking implements they use, a red Bhuddhist altar built for the wall in your home, packages of freeze dried noodles in case she gets sick of "American food." If Audy comes in November like I am hoping, then she will need a lot of warm clothes. I need to buy her a heavy coat in Bangkok.

It will be interesting.
