It sure doesn't taste the same though...ick!

I missed peanut butter the most. All I wanted after our summer trip to Lebanon was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on white sandwich bread...and some birthday cake (white cake with white buttercream icing)...

In Lebanon nope it doesnt..in Saudi its imported so its the same. Saudi also has jiff pb and smuckers jelly but here in Lebanon i was lucky to get kroger pb and lebanese jam. and the cake...omg the cake....i usually buy box cake and frosting so i can have something similar to home. i am really not a fan of the cakes from the bakeries here, everything has the almond paste and nuts blechhhhhh.

lol sorry to hijack :D

Sorry to butt into your conversation here, but if you are moving to Casa my gal is selling her ride.

If you need a car, or care about the details PM me. If not, no worries.

Hope you enjoy your time there!!

lol, completely understandable. I remember when my parents bought me my first car (a real piece of work, but a car nonetheless) it was a STICK!!

I was like, NOOOOOOOOOOO. I don't know how to do it. Sure enough though, after jerking around forever I got it. If it meant getting rid of her car my

little lady would teach you! lol.

Thanks anyway.

Enjoy Casa!

PS..Be sure to go eat at the port!

AH..MA...Zingggggggggggg.

Last time I went, my fiance's father came in and tried to give me the keys to his car to go drive around and see the sights (not that Casa has many "sights"), and it was interesting to see my fiance try to explain to him what "I will grind your gears and destroy your transmission" means.. :innocent:

There is a yahoo group called, American Women Living in Morocco. From what I remember, several of the ladies live in Casablanca. Some get together weekly for coffee, breakfast, etc. If you don't have one already, you'd just sent up a yahoo email, then search the groups for that, and then join.

Many of them have had experience on what you need to bring, what can be easily found there, what's more expensive here vs. there, etc.

Good Luck.

 Very excited about that!!! My problem is getting my 4yr old to realize that she can't take every single toy in her room...lol

ROFL about the tea! I MISS the tea!!! I also miss the harira. I've tried to make it a couple of times and it's never right. I can't wait to go back and have my mother-in-law show me how to do it right. Could be that I don't have a pressure cooker...

Ok, but seriously, don't forget about the Moroccan coffee. Oh my gosh that stuff was better than Starbucks! (Which explains why there's no Starbucks...something I will introduce my husband to very quickly after he gets here!)
