And my last question...how were you able to track your package w/ DHL. Is there some sort of system?

Sorry for the extra post...new VJ doesn't like editing too much.....there's a tracking Topic here:

Received my packet 3 today from the Montreal Consulate, and I spent probably a good 6 hours filling out the DS-230, DS-160, DS-156 and DS-156K. 4 different forms all requesting roughly the same data, in roughly the same format.. gotta love it :)

One question though, and I'm not sure if it's applicable here or in the Consulate forum, but there's a checklist I need to send back, stating I have obtained the specific document (passport, photographs, birth certificate, police certificate, etc etc) It says not to send the actual documents, just the checklist..

BUT

The DS-156K form says these same documents MUST be submitted with the DS-156K? What gives?

Hi there - we're a bit behind you guys, our application just left NVC so next up is Packet 3, which I'm dreading. What did you end up doing? Submitting the documents or not?

For information on our K1/AOS/ROC journey please see my 'About Me' page on my profile.

I am getting ready to send a packet to my fiance and on the VJ guide it says to send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance and your continued support of the k-1 visa. This should be similar to the letter I provided with the I-129F. My question is that I used the VJ sample as my first letter, what did people add to this second letter?

Congratulations!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.
