My fiance & I are in the process of filing for the K1 visa.. Just been checking through it & noticed on the G-235A form where it asks about the father & mother (maiden name) Do we still need to fill in the information regarding our mothers as they have both passed away? Any advice will be much appreciated..

Thanks..

Mothers maiden name is a common identity reference point in the US. Fill in the forms and then put deceased instead of address

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Ditto to that! There might be a lot of people with the name "John Smith" but less with a mother called Mary Jones and a father called Peter Sims... (for example :P) so they ask for their records and so they make sure they don't confuse you and the other "John Smith".
