Look at this link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3445411 (wouldn't let me post the link this woman had posted)

Though you have to remember this doesn't include the medical which differs by country, and is also dependent on how many immunisations you need (if any), as well as how many police checks you need (depends on how many countries you've lived in)

Also:

- postage fees

- photocopying fees (you should always keep a copy of EVERYTHING you send)

- flights

- actual wedding/marriage fees

Hope this helps :D

maybe this might be bit more simple for you

application fee 455

fee at embisy 131 +80 biometrics

next step for green card 1010

plus cost of meeting 1 time in a 2 year period.

plus wedding, plus ongoing relationship

mmm plus the pending gov't rate increase

and who knows what else. yes cost about 3,000 to get her here and green card

hope that helps

I'm sorry but I didn't pay $80 for biometrics at the embassy, just the $80.

to the OP, just go by my post, as well as the link I posted. It's the easiest way.

Okay the process is this:

- Apply for Visa - $455

- Receive notice of action (application received)

- Receive packet 3

-- get medical ($$ depending on country and if you need immunisations)

-- get police check ($$ depending on country)

-- Send more documents for packet 3 including medical results, police check etc (details come with packet 3)

- Receive packet 4

-- Pay visa application fee (paid abroad means paid in the country of the beneficiary (i.e. person coming to USA) Fee = $131USD

-- Go to interview with everything they asked for, including evidence of ongoing relationship)

** anywhere in there you could get RFE's (requests for further evidence) if you've forgotten something etc;

After you have the Visa and your fiance has arrived in USA, you must marry within 90 days then adjust status (AOS) for $1010USD. You receive a 2 year conditional greencard.

Two years after greencard arrives, you apply to remove conditions $545USD (at the moment, fees could change, they might not, but they can).

Hope that helps. It's not super details but it's a small run-down.

Hey I just got back from Juarez on Monday, my fiance paid in pesos for the big things and he paid around 2,500 pesos for the medical exam and the fee at Banamex was 1,900 pesos. We got there on Sunday the 20th and the visa finally arrived at DHL on Monday the 28th but we did have a few hiccups and Christmas really messed things up. I had originally made the hotel reservation for 4 days, we stayed 8 which was killer money wise, and food gets expensive too. Also we had to pay $8 dollars for the DHL fee, and my fiance just told me he had to pay $6 dollars at the border for some reason. Honestly between all the fees (including the 455), getting stuff ready, hotels, plane ticket, bus tickets and food we have spent more than 1,500 dollars up to this point. Goodluck and its all just to spend another 1,000 to change their status, but its a great feeling having that special person with you finally.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!!

If you wait 2 years to apply you are screwed!!!

You MUST submitt the application to remove conditions at 21 months!!!

!!!!!!!!WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!!!!

You have months 21-23 to apply. You DO NOT have to apply AT 21 months.

If it makes you feel better I will write it correctly, however if you read what I wrote instead of trying to appear superior (but in all honestly just looking like a douche), I admitted it was a quick rundown, not a full explanation:

"In the 90 days before reaching the 2 year anniversary of receiving your initial greencard (which is a 2 year conditional greencard), you will need to pay to remove conditions. At the moment this fee is $545".

Note -- He only wanted to know about fees, so I did a quick run-down so he knew when the fees are roughly payable
