Sorry to hear that Kiddo !!! ........... and the congressman's office isn't coming up with anything either ?????

Nope. When I called the office about a week after my paperwork was there, I asked to speak to the Immigration Specialist and she acted like I was in the wrong for even daring to call her. She told me they were a tiny office with a lot of cases and they had a phone number to contact me at if I was needed. Someone was cranky that day.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

In good news, though, I just got a call from their (less cranky this time) Immigration Specialist and she said she got in touch with them and the case is now on an adjudicator's desk and while a decision has not yet been made, it will be made soon.   I hope whoever has my case is in as good of a mood as I am now! Let's gooooo Vermont!

Crossposting again! There is a God!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! IT GIVES ME GREAT PLEASURE TO FINALLY ANNOUNCE..!

OUR PETITION HAS BEEN APPROVED!

126 DAYS OF HELL AND WORRY AND WAIT IS FINALLY OVER!

I just came back from a day out shopping with my Mom and I heard the text and thought "it's probably my friend," even though when I get a text at this time of day I always HOPE it will be the government. The ONE DAY I thought for sure we would not get approved AND WE FINALLY ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I'd never be able to type this. :) Thank you SO much to EVERYONE who has helped and supported me! I will continue to stand by those who are still awaiting the joy that I have just received. Thank you for the midget, poacher, he did some good! Time to pass it off to yourcdnangel, O&C, and anyone else still on the waiting list!

Oh, also, does anyone know what I'm supposed to ask for when I call NVC? I have a general idea but if anyone would like to give me a guideline I'd appreciate it!

When you call the NVC, talk to an operator, and ask for your Case Number and if an interview date was set. Then ask for the email address at the US Embassy. Immediately after that, email the embassy and request the current status of your case. I would also call the Immigration specialist at your Congressman's office, and ask if she can send an email to the embassy, requesting an interview date of <fill in your favorite date here).
