Personally, I think both of these photoshop monkey hack jobs are silly and undignified. But I'd rather have people create and post them online, than not have the First Amendment freedoms that allow us to do so.

There's an obvious difference in those images above - and also the intent of each.

While I'm sure Al and Jesse would be the first to jump all over anyone that posted an Obama pic that made him out to be dumb (especially if it was anywhere near a primate portrayal) I don't think anyone at all would say the Bush image was done to be racist. Clearly the Michelle Obama image had nothing to do with her being smart, or lack thereof and was done strictly to be racist.

However, people have a right to be racist. It's the rest of us that choose how much attention we give them. The day we start censoring political cartoons is the day it really starts going downhill - racist or not. When you start toeing that line of "well, we censored this one because it was racist" then you open the door for, "we censored that one because we didn't like it's messge. Huh? Oh, ah.... it was racist."

He must be out making those millions of dollars he's always talking about. Or maybe he's back in AUS living the good life at one of his half-million-dollar homes, not worrying about being a victim of gun-related homicide, not having to deal with "demographics" and taking solace in the fact that his govt. is taking care of him because they care about his individual well-being.

Maybe his internet service provider crapped out and there's no Panera Bread with free wi-fi near his house.
