Well TBone, instead of unloading criticism of other responders, why not lay down some of YOUR sage advice. We're waiting....

Why would anyone respond further when posters #2, #3, and #4 read what the OP wrote and nonjudgmentally covered the OP's options? When a question has already been answered to the extent that it has been asked, why would anyone blather inappropriate opinions that insult the OP? He posed a legitimate question that deserves respectful replies. Krikit is right that people should stop trying to derail the thread. My direct response to the OP's query is that he consider the options in the first three replies to his original post.

Thank you for the scathing reply. I have read many threads here where all the dirty laundry was aired on this forum. Myself I have chosen not to do this and asked what options were available to me to see her safely home, so please keep your assumptions to yourself.

The I-134 does make you liable to any agency that may provide services if she is deemed a public charge ( see pg 2 if the I-134 instructions for the cite of the Immigration and Nationality Act ). So looking at it strictly from an expense perspective there may be an eventual cost to you if your fiancee does not have any alternatives.

Not all Countries require an I-134.

The main reason of it's entire existence is to help determine if you will have the means to meet the standards when you file the I-864.

Form I-134 is a simple 2 page document which gives basic financial information and is not legally binding. By contrast, Form I-864 is several pages long, requires detailed financial information, and is legally binding. Because of its complexity, and the fact that it is a legally binding document, processing of the I-864 is a frequent cause of delay in approving an immigrant visa.
