DS-230 lost

Hi Guys

nvc received my DS-230 on Nov 12th but i called them today and they said they don't have anything yet, but i got the return receipt marked as Nov 12. i am really worrying that what if they loose it because there were a lot of original documents

call back 3 times, see if answer changes. (talk to human, not avr system )

and

ask them about 'receiving' - not 'accepting' ... there's a whole process in there, inbetween.

and

check the online payment portal - what's the 'status' ?

i suggest to you that it's not lost.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I sent some information into NVC - it was delievered on Nov. 10. It was not marked as received until the 16th. Wait a couple more days.

DS230 delivered November 6th.....nvc logged it on November 12th

I called then and talked to the operator. she said they don't have anything yet.does that mean they haven't checked the stack of mails yet

Again, it is taking about a week for them to log things in. Wait a few more days.

yes, as mal said, it takes about a week (sometimes more) to update their system for avr and/or operator.

2009-04-18 : AOS bill paid; DS-3032 emailed

2009-04-22 : AOS package mailed

2009-05-12 : IV Fee bill generated

2009-05-12 : IV Fee bill paid

2009-05-26 : Mailed DS-230 package and AOS package (first one never made it)

2009-06-11 : RFE (original birth certificate missing)

2009-06-16 : Mailed original birth certificate

2009-07-03 : Case complete

2009-07-09 : Interview date assigned (8/12/09)

Embassy

2009-08-11 : Interview rescheduled to 8/14/09

2009-08-14 : Visa approved

2009-08-20 : Visa received

Post-Embassy

2009-09-25 : POE at LAX

2009-09-26 : Finally together :)

2009-10-05 : Greencard received

2009-10-30 : SSN never came through, so, re-applied for SSN

I sent My DS 230 package on the 12th and they received it on the 13th. Until now the operator is saying They have not reiceived it. I understand how you're feeling because all my originals doucuments are in the folder. I am praying they're not lost.

I-130 Timeline:

Sept. 04, 2008 : I-130 Sent to Vermont SC - filed for spouse based on greencard

Oct. 24, 2008 : NOA 1 Received from VSC

April. 30, 2009 : Become US citizen, called USCIS to upgrade I-130 from F2A to IR-1 category

April. 30, 2009 : send a letter with copy of certificate of naturalization to upgrade the petition.

April. 30, 2009 : Status is upgraded to CR-1/IR-1 category and case is pending.

Sept 30, 2009 : NOA2 - approval notice sent Thanx to the God almighty

NVC Journey

Oct 4, 2009 : Case Number Assigned - Received this by speaking to a live operator.

Oct 16, 2009:AOS and IV Fee bills generated and rec'd Invoice id number via e-mail

Oct 20, 2009 :AOS and IV Fee bills status - Paid (online)

RFE I lost at least two weeks

Nov 15,2009 :AOS and DS-230 package sent to NVC

Dec 08,2009 :case completed at NVC (checked through AVR) Merci Jesus

I am praying for a Jan Interview

2009-xx-xx : Forward the case to Embassy in PAP Haiti

Jan 04 2010 : Medical

Jan 27 2010 : Visa Interview

2009-xx-xx : Visa Approved

2009-xx-xx : Visa in Hand

2009-xx-xx : POE
