Thank you for your positive wishes ! I really do need some in these last days since we found out we got a RFE . I know you' ve been through it so you understand it better . I had a terrible weekend while worrying what a RFE is for. I was not expecting one so the shock was big. It' s just horrible to realize and admit that our approval won' t come at least until the end of February. I' m so so sad and disappointed. It' s truly hard ( for me ) to stay calm and patient. Every day is getting worst.

Anyone else out there a November 2009 California K1 filer?

We just sent our K1 on Friday (11/6) via USPS priority. Looks like the processing times for both Vermont and California are trending downward... VJ's best guess right now is USCIS adjudication sometime around the end of January.

I'm hoping to have visa in hand sometime around the middle/end of March. It's probably a terrible idea to try to plan a wedding/honeymoon when the dates are still up in the air, but it's really tempting, especially since prices are likely to climb as the time gets closer and places fill up...

I'm a new member to VJ; this is a great site with tons of information. I have a case of my own and I'm a bit worried about the status of my case. I filed a 129f petition for my Macedonian Fiance on 28 Oct 2009. I received the NOA1 email notification on 2 Nov 2009. I have not heard anything since then and according to the USCIS website, my case has not been "touched" since then. I keep seeing spreadsheets on this board with different cases soarted by the date the NOA1 was received. Does anybody on this board has a NOA1 received date of 2 Nov 2009, and a spreadsheet showing the cases showing NOA1 received on 2 Nov 2009. It's been over 100 days since my NOA1 was received and i hope my NOA2 comes soon. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I would assume that you'll be receiving your NOA2 any day now (I assume by your location that your filing ofice was CSC). According to USCIS, their official processing time for I-129F is still 5 months (which unfortunately means that contacting USCIS to inquire about your petition will result in them telling you that it's within normal processing guidelines).

There really is no rhyme or reason as to the order of processing assigned to the adjudicators, so best advice I can offer is to stay patient and you shoud hear somethng soon.

I done my medical also and maybe on Tuesday I will know the interview date. Hope so!

Our weekend before received RFE mail was the worst...it was the bottom of all. I completely understand how you are feeling and with what you have to deal. Try to be more focuse that one day, when everything of this finish, you will be with your honey. This is something above everything and it should be your goal. At the end of this painful process you have the most valuable thing: life with your love.

Hi, you can check with the November VSC thread. It seems that Vermont slowed down and they approved only a few people from November. Try to go and check that topic. Wish you a luck in your journey!

You can see that you are touched when the date on your USCIS account is changed.

In case people are curious about the speed at NVC, it seems to be pretty fast at the moment. Our petition arrived at the embassy 13 days after the NOA2 date.

We just returned our packet 3 to the embassy in Port of Spain today, so crossing fingers for speedy processing and receipt of packet 4. This weekend is Carnival in Trinidad, and the entire country shuts down for about a week.

Good luck to everyone still awaiting the NOA2. Waiting is the hardest part of the process, no matter which step of the way you're on!

You can call NVC and ask if they received your case. It is the different subject. You do not have anything with the USCIS for now.

When you receive the mail from NVC you will get your case number with which your fiance/ee will apply for K1 visa in her/his embassy.

Touches means that the somebody done something with your case. It's not the proof that you will soon get your NOA2.

Im pissed I got an RFE but im also happy that they actually did something with my petition....

Guess I have to wait what the RFE is for....Hopefully from this point on it will go quickly....

Oh no! That's too bad, but you're right - at least CSC is working on the file. Will you let us know what the RFE is for once you find out? Hope it's a speedy process for you!

So, I came back yesterday from spending Valentine's with my honey. Having to deal with snow and long flights doesnt make me a happy camper but it was all worth it. I got to Sac lat night at 10, I was really tired just took a shower and went straight to bed. Today while I was waiting at the Carls Jr's drive thru I remembered "oh I havent checked my phone today!" and then it happened... between ordering my Grilled Cheese Bacon Cheeseburger, feeling guilty because I ordered it and actually paying for it I got the message I was waiting for...

"Current Status: Approval notice sent. On February 17, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice."

I had to read it twice before it actually hit me. WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am soooo happy. I havent told him yet, for dramatic purposes only. I want to see his face on the webcam, maybe play a practical joke or something, havent decided yet.
