Well, I am a college student so my parents have been supporting me since i graduated from high school. I am now 22. Anyway, I just filled out my i864 and i did not check number 25 where it say " I have filed a federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years" I left it blank and i put 0.00 for tax years 2006, 2007, and 2008. I have no assets or anything, so i wont attach anything to my i864.

Which worries me. Is a letter explaining that im an architect student living off my parents be enoug? or is it necessery to send college transcripts?

I have already filled two i864a forms for each of my parents. They both make 80,000 and im listed as a dependent on their tax papers. I have all the documents from them. Will i be okay, what do i do so they wont ask too much questions and send me RFIs

Who is petitioner and who is beneficiary. Looks like you are sponsoring someone whom you got married to ???

I think you will need to file the I-864A which is for a joint sponsor (sounds like you parents would be the best people to ask).

i'm a bit muddled, but from what i'm reading (0 income ) yer gonna need a co-sponser.

parents a good choice, always.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yeah, that's why i got both of my parents to fill their own i864a. I just need advice on how to explain the 0 income. I was thinking of a short letter stating that ive been going to college the past three years. Any advice on this would be great. I am trying to send this by tomorrow because i leave to bolivia on december 15th so im fighting time. Thanks!

I have written a short letter explaining why i have not filed income taxes these past three years. Please take a look at it and tell me what you guys think. Is this letter good enough, or what else should i add?

"I did not file income taxes for the past three years because I have been going to college. I have not had a job since 2006 so I could focus more on school with the help of my parents. I still live with my parents who support me and pay for school until I graduate. Once I get a degree in Architecture I will be working full time. I am using my parents as my co-sponsors . Both of my parents submitted form I864A attached to this packet. Thanks you.

sincerely, myname"

You have to put in the letter that you were not required to pay taxes because you had $0 income... I found this thread that is a similar issue...
