I Am currently In India with my fiance And we both want To make sure that we compile all necessary evidence for our K1 application.

How many pictures do we need To submit In The K1? Do They all need To be close up face photos or do they accept full length photos? Which type (full lenght or close up) is better for The application?

Should The photos we submit contain only us or if there are some with family members is that ok?

Are they looking for photos of The engagement or will regular photos be ok?

If we submit a bunch of photos taken on The same day In The same clothing will that be ok? Or is it better To submit a variety of photos from different days And clothings?

Hello Bobby,

photos are only secondary evidence - boarding passes, stamps in the passport, receipts from hotels, train etc is much more important and should be considered primary evidence. However, I believe it certainly does not hurt to include more evidence of your meeting should you wish to do this. We presented some close up and some full length with our case, I doubt it matters as long as they can identify you two in them. I'd make sure to write down your name, date and a little description on the back of the photos. As far as different days and clothings, I don't think you need to stress this either - As long as you got a sufficient amount of primary evidence, a few photos should do just fine.

Good luck!

I made an album with pictures of different settings...everything...doesn't matter if it's close up or not or who else is in the picture as long you can identify them when asked. Me with my daughters, the consul tried to confuse me making sure am that familiar. Bringing as much evidences won't hurt, better to be overprepared than be sorry. Good luck!

From what can be read on VJ Dehli's consulate can be a tricky one. So to not take any chance if I were you I would front load my petition with lots of pictures and evidences. I think that if you submit pictures taken all the same day it will look a bit odd. Take pictures everyday, take also pictures with the family, and at the engagement party as it seems important.

Provide copies of your passport stamps and boarding passes, keep them preciously so your fiancée can show the originals at the interview later. If you have engagement party invitations or something like that, send a copy and also keep an original for the interview.

It wont hurt to front load your petition, and you have to chance to go to India before filling, so you can "built" your petition with many evidences.

Good luck.

Personally, I wish we would have taken photos that cleared showed date or location.

But to add to what other posters have already replied, somebody (I think the VSC director) was suggesting taking a photo of the both of you holding today's newspaper.

PEACE..........

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in you hearts you can overcome anything.

Delhi Consulate is a tricky one and you have to be very careful and well prepared. Photographs are considered as the secondary eveidence but to be on the safer side take as many pictures as you can in different clothes and also with your parents and friends. Including the Engagements photos will give more strengeth to your case. I suggest you to go through the Delhi Embassy reviews and you will have some idea.

Wishing you luck

Good luck.

Do not front load the petition when you submit the K-1 petition initially. One or two pictures is suffice and mostly they are looking for evidence that you met. Which can be easily fulfilled by your boarding passes, itinerary, and entry/exit stamps on your passport. Because what is going to happen is when you have your interview they will ask for pictures and if you have already submitted all these pictures in advance you will not have anything else to provide besides phone logs and emails. I only included 2 pictures and that was suffice, but had a copy of my entire passport and even included the blank pages. I submitted my itinerary and an affidavit from his family stating they are aware of our engagment.

Someone just recently at the Delhi embassy submitted all their engagment pictures initially, and then they asked for more pictures and they submitted the same ones, but this was not suffice for the consulate to approve their visa. My point is do not provide all pictures at once.

Best of luck!

I don't think they will look at that. Pictures are the best evidence.
