Haven't received DS3032

Is anyone else stuck waiting for DS3032 to be received, for over 3 weeks?

NVC assigned case # on Sept 25. I gave them email addresses for both petitioner & beneficiary on that day, and have later confirmed via operator that the emails are on file. An operator today says to wait 4-6 weeks from NVC case # date for notification (but we all know the timelines the operators give is really worst case.)

I'm sure it's just part of the normal variance in case handling.. just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

Lately, it's been about 2 weeks for them to accept your DS 3032. I don't know about receiving it. Maybe you can just send them the email since you have the case number already?

Your IV bill of $400 will be generated once your DS 3032 is accepted. You can pay that and send your last package out. Good luck.

OP: Wait, are you waiting for confirmation on the fact that they've received your (mailed or emailed) DS 3032 OR are you waiting for them to send you the form itself?

I have not received the form itself yet. I have not sent the DS3032 - Choice of agent, because I have not received the email or postal mail that contains instructions on how to send it. My understanding is that it I must wait for notification from NVC, and that I cannot send a DS3032 until such notification is received.

wait a mo - you gots this in yer timeline -

2009-10-20: DS3032 Received

was this via email? in 'kit form' perhaps?

if it hit yer inbox - you should have had 1) ds-3032, non-fillable PDF, 2) some barcode stuff and 3) a fee bill , to be paid online, 70 bucks.

If you got this kit, and didn't pay the 70 bucks online - yer stalled, a bit...

If I'm not reading this right - ie 'DS3032 Received', to you, means that NVC received the paper file, then I don't know what to tell ya.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Did anyone send in their DS3032 email after confirming with a NVC operator that a DS3032 had been generated, but prior to receiving the DS3032 in email (or postal mail)? I just re-read Ling-Che's shortcuts and I noticed the line "Operator should be able to tell you if a DS3032 has been generated." I'm thinking maybe that's a step in the process that I missed, which could have saved me some time. I'll edit the wiki to highlight that point a little more clearly if I can get confirmation from other people that they were able to get the "DS3032 has been generated" information from an operator.

As far as I know you would need to receive an email from NVC with regards to the DS-3032 instructions before you can send it back to them. We have sent ours 2 weeks ago and they have yet to process it. We are now waiting for the IV bill to be invoiced.

Waiting is such a pain.

These last 6 weeks - NVC has been sending out a 'DS-3032 kit' (my label for it ) .

Basically - things flow like this:

1. Call into NVC, ask about case status. If Consulate case number available, the Tele-Operator asks for petitioner/beneficiary's DOB and email addresses (plural ).

2. In 1 to 3 days, NVC sends out , via email, the 'DS-3032 kit' , containing 1) PDF DS-3032, non-fillable, 2) some barcode stuff and 3) a fee bill for 70 bucks, to be paid online.

After that, I'm mostly lost - things get muddled.. I have noticed that once the first fee bill is paid, another one gets generated within a week for 400 bucks.

Somewhere in all of this yer supposed to send out the I-864 and the ds-230 ;) ;) ;)

Hi macy, I see you had a long wait between NOA2 and NVC Case # as well. It seems our files are being handled by the same person.. wishing you a speedy approval for your DS3032.

When your AOS bill is paid (you know either on the DOS site or the AVR), then you can send the 864 packet. When the 3032 is accepted, then the 230 bill will be generated on the DOS website and you can send the IV packet. The 230 bill isn't generated when the AOS bill is paid-just when the 3032 finally gets accepted. Hope this makes sense!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

I posted this in another post.... might be of use in keeping things straight!

For anyone confused the formula is this

Petitioner = Get NVC # + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send 854 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page

Benificerary = Get NVC# + receive 3032 + send 3032+ 3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay and wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail 230 package with all original/certified documents

======= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled

Good luck to all!!!

10/14/2000 - Met Aboard a Cruise ship

06/14/2003 - Married Savona Italy

I-130

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!
