yah, I do dumb things too like when I do get sick and hardly go to the doctor its usually at the last minute when I should have went a long time ago bcz it got worse. I hate going into doctors offices, they stink, they take forever to call your name, they take your temp and blood pressure then make you wait forever, and still charge an arm and a leg to fix a small issue. I have accumulated 120 sick hours for the year bcz I hardly go to a doctors office when I am sick.

I thought you have insurance.

sure do, and that doesnt mean I still dont have to pay for things... still doesnt make it all that affordable... doesnt insurance generally cover what they "deem fit" to cover? and make certain things out of pocket, or still have to meet a high deductible if you want to even afford insurance???

Sounds to me like you have bad insurance. Bet they make you pay a pretty penny in premiums for it, though.

Graduated college and working 2 jobs, neither of which provided insurance?

i guess she too should have chosen a different job.

She obviously wasn't working any real jobs...not too bright for a double major.

Ever heard of Darwinism? A 22 year old with a college degree and two jobs that doesn't know you can get treated at any emergency room in America without health insurance and without ever having to pay deserves the Darwin award. illegal aliens know this instinctively.

I much prepfer that we all chip in and pat as needed, when needed than to have the government level the playing field by making MY medical treatment no better than this girl's

hmmm just bcz people have insurance doesnt mean they go to the doctor everytime something happens or does it? Lets say I got the flu and choose not to go to the doctor bcz I try to save money live better and use all the things I said in the previous post... having insurance doesnt mean that a person is going to go to the doctor and that if they do they are saved from the swine flu or any other virus spread about.

Good points, but you are arguing with messengers of Obama. They do not care about truth and logic. Even if you best them, you have accomplished nothing. You accomplish nothing when you have bested a fool.

Instructions

  1. Step 1 Pay Attention

If you suspect you have the Swine Flu, pay attention to your symptoms. If you have basic cold symptoms, such as runny nose or cough, just treat like you would regularly with bed rest, fluids, and cold medicines

  2. Step 2 Stay Home

Stay home from work or school. This virus is highly contagious. Do not go into work or send your children to school if you suspect you are sick. It is important that people who are ill help to contain the Swine Flu by remaining as isolated as possible.

  3. Step 3 Monitor symptoms

If you do get more severe symptoms associated with the Swine Flu, get to the doctor immediately. Watch out for more severe symptoms of the virus such as pain in chest or stomach, dizziness that comes on suddenly, shortness of breath or having a problem with breathing, feeling suddenly confused or diarrhea or vomiting. Small children may have a bluish coloring to their skin, and have a fever with an associated rash.

  4. Step 4 Antivirals and Medicines

Ask your doctor about oseltqamivir and zanamivir. These are medicines that may be used to treat and possibly prevent Swine Flu infection. In addition, if you have contracted Swine Flu, Tamiflu and Relenza have shown some effectiveness in fighting the virus. These need to be taken within 2 days of infection in order to work.

jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); Tips & Warnings
  • Do not rush to the hospital for regular flu symptoms. This may spread the virus more quickly.

"TAMIFLU (Oseltamivir)

Tamiflu Information

As an effective form of Swine Flu medication, use Tamiflu (also known as Oseltamivir), an antiviral that treat disorders caused by viruses.

Tamiflu Indications

Tamiflu is recommended in the case of flu viruses (it can treat influenza A and influenza B.)

Tamiflu also eases the ailments that accompany flu (like weakness, cough, headache, fever, sore throat).

Tamiflu could prevent the flu onset even if the patient has been exposed to someone who suffers from it.

Before you buy Tamiflu or start a Tamiflu treatment, you should inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the drug’s components. Tamiflu has caused birth defects when tested on pregnant animals (it hasn’t been tested on pregnant women). Therefore, if you are carrying a baby or are planning to be pregnant soon, you should not start a Tamiflu treatment without consulting your doctor as Tamiflu can pass into breast milk. It is advisable that a nursing mother should consult a doctor before starting a treatment with the drug. If you are suffering from any of the following disorders, inform your doctor beginning a treatment of Tamiflu:

  • Kidney ailments
  • Heart problems
  • Viral infections besides influenza A / B
  • Liver diseases
  • Lung Problems
  • Other important medical problems

Tamiflu Intake Guidelines

Follow the instructions that your doctor has given you regarding your treatment with Tamiflu. Tamiflu is not a stomach irritant, so you can take it without eating first (although it is recommended that it should not be taken on an empty stomach.) A Tamiflu treatment lasts at least five days (it must not be stopped even if the patient feels better) and should be continued for as long as the doctor says so. If you are using Tamiflu’s oral suspension, you must accurately measure your doses of the drug in order to prevent any overdose. The bottle that contains Tamiflu suspension should be well shaken before used. Check the expiration date of the drug before taking any Tamiflu.

Tamiflu Dosage

In the case of the influenza treatment, the correct dosage of Tamiflu is:

  • 75 mg of the drug for adults (twice a day from 1 to 5 days)
  • 30-75 mg of the drug for children (twice a day from 1 to 5 days). The correct dose of Tamiflu depends on the patient’s body weight.

You must not take a double dose of Tamiflu, or two doses of the drug separated by less than two hours from one another.

Tamiflu Side Effects

A Tamiflu treatment can result in several side effects such as:

  • Phlegm production

  • Wheezing
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea

Tamiflu Drug Reactions

You must inform your physician if you are taking any other drugs besides Oseltamivir (regardless either they are prescription or non-prescription medicines). Relenza Information

[Bird Flu Information] Relenza is a type of medicine called neuraminidase inhibitor and its main use is in treating infections caused by flu (influenza virus). Such infections are contagious (usually they are transmitted by coughing and sneezing) and affect mostly the respiratory system. Influenza virus spreads quickly from one cell to another due to an enzyme called neuraminidase. With the active ingredient zanamivir, Relenza binds to the neuraminidase on the surface of the virus cell, which determines the virus to be unable to spread to any other cells. The symptoms of the flu become less severe and the immune system fights stronger against the virus. By using Relenza, the duration of the illness is shortened by one day.

Relenza is mostly recommended for people in risk of getting complications from the flu, including old people or persons suffering from severe respiratory disease, heart disease, kidney problems, diabetes or just have a weakened immune system.

Relenza has proved efficient for the patients that have developed symptoms for less than 2 days.

Relenza may also be used for other purposes than the ones mentioned above.

Relenza Warnings

You should always inform your physician about any possible allergies you may had experienced to one or any of Relenza ingredients.

Relenza is not recommended for people suffering from asthma, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) or any other chronic lung disease. If you find yourself in any of these situations you should talk to your doctor before starting treatment with Relenza. Also, treatment with Relenza should be stopped immediately if you develop illnesses like bronchospasm or decreased lung function.

It is not known what the effects of using Relenza may be on an unborn baby. It is also not known whether it passes into breast milk, so if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you should talk to your physician before starting treatment with Relenza. Also, there were no studies made upon the effects of Relenza on children under seven years of age, so it is recommended to confirm it with your doctor.

There is no known interaction between Relenza and other medicine, but its best to confirm it with your doctor if you are taking any other drugs. If you combine the use of Relenza with other medicines taken by inhalation, especially relievers like salbutamol and terbutaline, it is recommended you use them first. You should also keep your reliever inhaler at hand in case you may encounter shortness of breath.

Relenza Side Effects

Because Relenza may cause allergic reactions, you should immediately stop treatment and seek emergency medical attention in case such effect may occur. Allergic reactions caused by Relenza may vary between difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, swelling of the lips, tong and face or hives. In patients with asthma or COPD may also occur symptoms like bronchospasm or decreased lung function, which may become severe or even fatal. You should also keep at hand a fast-acting bronchodilatator as albuterol, bitolterol, metaproterenol or pirbuterol in case these symptoms occur.

Relenza may also cause other side effects not listed above. Tell your doctor if you notice any other effects.

Relenza Overdose

If you miss taking your regular Relenza dose, you can do it as soon as you remember, but skip it if its almost time for your next one (within 2 hours). Do not take a double dose of Relenza. Seek advice in your doctor if you missed several doses in a raw.

Emergency medical treatment is required in case of an overdose. There are no known symptoms of overdose in case of Relenza.

Relenza Usage Guidelines

Relenza should only be taken as prescribed by your doctor. Always consult with your physician, nurse or pharmacist if you have any doubts on how to use Relenza.

Stick to the instructions to load the DISKHALER with one ROTADISK foil pack. When prepared to take a dose, breathe out fully and place the white mouthpiece into your mouth, assuring to maintain the inhaler level and not to spill out the medicine. Close your mouth around the mouthpiece, but do not cover the small holes. Breathe deeply and hold the air for a few seconds. Repeat the steps mentioned above if your doctor advised you to take more inhalations at once. Put the cover back on the mouthpiece.

Treatment with Relanza usually lasts for 5 days. You should continue taking Relanza during this period even though your symptoms may have disappeared. It is recommended you take 2 inhalations of Relanza twice a day, 12 hours apart at the same time of day, if possible. You should take the same dose in the first day if there are at least 2 hours between the doses.

Buy Relenza

Buy Relenza at our Online Pharmacy or at any Canada Pharmacy selling Online Prescriptions.

In some countries RELENZA may also be known as: Zanamivir"

Surprised there are even medications for the swine flu, when I get the flu, just told to stay in bed and drink plenty of liquids, not good to fight the fever, that helps to kill the virus. A lot depends on the person's immune system, if poor, you are screwed. Like all prescription drugs, the side effects can be worse than the cure, again person dependent. Watch your temperature, above 104*F can be dangerous in other ways, still like aspirin, but they say that can killl you.

Believe I have caught just about every communicable virus when I had kids in school, that became history as my kids grew up. Wife's co-worker is going through that with her kid in day care.

Practically every county has a county health department that is free for these communicable diseases if you don't have the cash, that's what we pay taxes for. So don't blame the lack of insurance in this case, ignorance is more like it.
