Thanks Christeen! I can't wait to hear about it! I heard that Naples is icky...I'm actually going to fly over there and go to the interview. I'm hoping we spend the least amount of time in Naples that we can!!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Did you mean "updates after 3pm and 10pm" for AVR or for the online payment website? I think you said earlier that online payment website updates at 10 pm? which saves me time and nerves, thank you! :thumbs:

08/29/09 - APPROVED!!!

09/14/09 - NVC case # assigned, emails registered

09/17/09 - email AOS bill received and paid online, ds3032 received and returned

09/21/09 - AOS bill status "PAID", FedExed out AOS, 09/24/09 delivered to NVC

09/28/09 - AVR:AOS acknowledged

10/02/09 - 3032 was acknol. by NVC, paid IV Bill online

10/05/09 - emails: 1 pm -RFE for 3032, 3 pm - IV bill, 5 pm - status PAID

10/09/09 - ds230 delivered to NVC at 9am

10/14/09 - AVR: Checklist response was received

10/20/09 - login failed! - between 5 pm and 9 pm PST, at 5 pm it was still working

10/21/09 - case complete! (AVR updated after 10 pm) = total NVC 37 days

10/28/09 - interview date email came at 6.30 pm, no AVR changes yet

10/30/09 - AVR: "Case sent to embassy on Oct 29" = total 4 months from delivery of i130 to USCIS

11/02/09 - Medical

11/20/09 - Interview - PASSED!!!

11/28 - POE: LAX

Did you mean "updates after 3pm and 10pm" for AVR or for the online payment website? I think you said earlier that online payment website updates at 10 pm? which saves me time and nerves, thank you! :thumbs:

The website updates at 3 PM and 10 Pm and sometime in the early morning... The AVR seems to update in the morning and at 3PM... my observations and the timing of others updates and an operator once let it slip that she had to check for the 10PM update

Unfortunatly, I am not able to go over for the interview, now is BUSY season for weddings down here and I am a wedding photographer... I have been to Naples once and there are some REALLY beautiful places to see nearby... However, there are a lot of schisters there and pickpockets... So watch your belongings and check everything before you buy it (they are known for selling stuff, you watch them put it in a box, distract you and switch the box for another one with just a brick or something inside!!!)

But the waterfront there is really pretty, the isle of Capri, Sorrento and Amalfi coast and Pompeii are all amazing sights nearby.... Food of course is delicious too, fresh seafood!

Thanks! I'd love to see Capri! I'd love to go anywhere in Italy actually! I'm hoping we get a month's notice so I can try to use FF miles. It may be near Xmas or after though...blech.

The best way to find out what exactly is the local number (if there is one) is to have your fiance (husband?) go to the post office closest to his home and find out.

My husband lives on the west bank of Luxor and he doesn't have an actual "house" address. When I mail packages to him I put the address of the post office that he uses (small village) and the post master calls him to come pick up his packages or mail. So far everything I had sent to him has reached him.

As far as the file number or alien number, they are wanting to know if he had tried to apply to come into the usa before, if so then they have an alien number (A#######) or possible file number on him. If he hasn't been here before or had anyone apply to get him here, then just leave it blank or write none in there.

Just got off the phone with NVC to check on any updates. They have received the I-864 already but does not have any updates for the DS-3032. The lady who took my call said "it was in the building" already. Could it be that it is being reviewed already?

So I Optedin for the electronic filing for the Montreal Consulate back on October 6th. I finally got an email from them today saying that they received our email and now my IV Bill is available to be paid. :dance::thumbs::dancing::dance::thumbs::dancing::dance::thumbs::dancing:

Hope this info helps those of you still waiting for DS-3032 acceptance.

Why isn't MsSheka in here yet??? :angry:

Did you mean to update that you send your AOS package... You cannot send the IV package until the 3032 is accepted....???

Sorry for confusing everyone. The husband has sent out the I-864 package already and NVC confirmed that they have received it. And that my DS-3032 is already "in the building". So Im wondering if that meant we should get the IV bill invoice soon.

There was no mention of the IV packet, Finn. Only things mentioned are I-864 (AOS) and DS-3032 (change of agent).
