Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

:ot2: I wouldn't ''let'' Charles party, I don't own him, but if he wants to party (like he did tonight after work) no problem. I completely trust him. I wouldn't like him doing such behind my back and would certainly hate him partying till early morning  that's a big no no, not without me. I think it's more than fair.

Like I said at the beginning my SO and I are not into the partying scene anymore, we do sometimes like a nice cold beer indoors but nothing out of the ordinary. Peter and Robert you both have valid rules for your particular situation and I hope you are both happy with the way things are, but do you seriously think that what someone says on a message board is going to upset you that much to fight about it!!!!!!!!!! Hope not cause you are both great people.

I would not do that and I would not expect my wife to do it to me. I take her dancing and we stay out to all hours of the morning. We have even gotten up at three in the morning to go dancing at “After Hours” night clubs and have gotten home at noon.:dance:

If you want to be partying without your husband or wife you should have stayed single or get a divorce.

Regards,

Peter Miami

Well that is certainly YOUR opinion, and very narrow minded one at that. Get divorced?! Geez... just what we need, a higher divorce rate. Your comments put the ball and chain into marriage.

I gotta agree there...

Maybe we need a clarification of "partying".... if these means going out clubbing, drinking and dancing with people of the other sex and generally acting like you are not married...then something is off perhaps. If we can take partying to mean going out to a party that is being thrown by someone the spouse knows, then why shouldn't they be able to go and have a good time alone.

I look at it this way...if I don't want to go to a party being thrown by one of hubster's friends....why should I go and perhaps moan about being there (not that I would...:innocent: ) and have hubster brought down by that when instead I can stay home and we both get what we want out of the evening.

Agreed with Robert and Frances completely.... I want a husband, not a father!

We're still young, and we can still toss em back. I worry sometimes he doesn't go out with his friends enough, even when I'm not on the same continent as him. That is an important part of social life and I don't think we can live for hanging out with just each other. Both of us like to hang out in big groups of our pals once in awhile.

I am ok with him going out with an attractive girl from work, just them (which was once a plan but never materialized). Basically, in the end, he's lucky as $%*& to be with me, and vice versa. If he at any point doesn't see it that way, that's up to him. He's gotta be with me because he wants to, not because he's safe from temptation because he never leaves the house.

We're getting married, but I don't think that should change our relationship in any way.

My fiance is out right now with his mates. First time he's been out in ages because he works too damn much.

He sent me a garbled text, and I could tell he was pissed, but he took the time to send it to me becuase he was thinking about me. I'm glad he's having this chance to go out with his friends and have a good time. I think he deserves it. And I trust him. Completely.

I also just wonder what are people so worried about that they have to set down rules about no drinking, no staying out too late (which is soooo subjective), etc... If they are worried that "something" might happen if their partner drinks too much, for instance, that seems like a breakdown in trust.

I hear ya Frances!!! Sounds like some people are looking for "human pets" rather than a spouse! Someone to keep them company and keep on a leash when they go out. I would love to know what the divorce rate is going to be of those couples that allow no freedom and have little or no trust.
