I would not do that and I would not expect my wife to do it to me. I take her dancing and we stay out to all hours of the morning. We have even gotten up at three in the morning to go dancing at “After Hours” night clubs and have gotten home at noon.:dance:

If you want to be partying without your husband or wife you should have stayed single or get a divorce.

Regards,

Peter Miami

Well that is certainly YOUR opinion, and very narrow minded one at that. Get divorced?! Geez... just what we need, a higher divorce rate. Your comments put the ball and chain into marriage.

I gotta agree there...

Maybe we need a clarification of "partying".... if these means going out clubbing, drinking and dancing with people of the other sex and generally acting like you are not married...then something is off perhaps. If we can take partying to mean going out to a party that is being thrown by someone the spouse knows, then why shouldn't they be able to go and have a good time alone.

I look at it this way...if I don't want to go to a party being thrown by one of hubster's friends....why should I go and perhaps moan about being there (not that I would...:innocent: ) and have hubster brought down by that when instead I can stay home and we both get what we want out of the evening.

I agree.. sometimes I dont like to go out (they just chat at a restuarant-bar kindathing.. since 5pm) with Bram's group of friends.. not becasue I dont like them but sometimes i have nothing to talk about  and so sometimes i feel it's better for him to just go and have fun.. i can have fun at home cooking or gardening or goout with my friends :D

Bingo Sister Frances!!! Marriage isn't about control, and spending every moment of everyday together. It's about compromise and commitment, along with TRUST!!! Now if there was something lurid going on, then I certainly would think it was wrong. My wife and I don't go out alone, and not sure that we will, but I certainly won't every tell her she can't, and she wouldn't tell me that either. Having time to each other is very important in any relationship. Otherwise it becomes smothering.

Hey Peter Miami,

Look at my post. It says I live on Kauai. My name is ROBERT, which everyone else seems to know except YOU, and calls me by, so I don't "hide behind a handle". YOU are the one that has a problem with me, mister "I make more than 6 figures and have a Masters degree". You need to check it at the door.

You live in Miami? D'uh!!! Never would have guessed it.

When have I "always" debated you on "everything"? You need to get your facts straight.

I'll be in Melbourne next week... come see me! You do know where that is don't you? Or do I need to draw you a map? Maybe you don't understand me?
