Hi everybody.

I'm mailing I-751 tomorrow and wondering if this enough evidence to submit.

• A copy of our son’s birth certificate and social security card.

• A copy of my green card (Front and back). A copy of mine and my wife’s driver license with same address.

• Notarized lease agreement letter from our landlord with both of our names.

• Four notarized affidavits by U.S. citizen friends, attesting to our relationship and marriage.

• A few joint savings account statements.

• 401k retirement plan with my wife listed as the beneficiary.

• Life insurance from my employer with my wife listed as the beneficiary.

• Joint health insurance policy from my employer has both of our names plus our kids as beneficiaries.

• A partial copy of our 2007 and 2008 joint US tax return.

• A copy of joint Car insurance policy and cards with both of us listed as drivers plus copies of various notices.

• Gas bills in both of our names plus other utility bills in my name and others in my wife's name (Water, Electricity,

Cable and Internet).

• Flight reservation confirmation from Orbitz.com to Rabat, Morocco in December 2009 for me, my wife and our son.

• Some other letters and documents were sent to us in our new and old address from different people like insurance company, IRS, hospital...

• Some of my pay stabs from my employer plus mine and my wife 2008 W2’s with our old and new address.

• Family pictures in the hospital from the day our son was born and others.

• A note regarding not having utility bills in our names in our old address. (Because they weren't in our names )

So what you think ? Is this enough for USCIS ?

I think it's plenty, you hit the most important ones: Tax returns with both your names, some joint accounts, lease, child birth's certificate, insurance.

I wouldn't send 4 affidavits, sounds desperate in my opinion. But if you think they will help with your case, it's your decision.

I think you have enough good evidence. I am sending mine on Tuesday.

I agree 4 affidavits looks kinda desperate but we are dealing with USCIS :D and they request 2 at least so 2 more is no big deal.

Agreed with chox99: get the tax transcripts, send bills/statements two or three per year for the last two years, and four Affidavits are fine - we sent 5 (part of our 160-page package) and got approved fast!

Agree with all who have suggested Tax Transcripts instead and would add that I remember people getting RFE'd for complete tax documents. They don't like partials for some reason.

Will sound like a dumb question, but what is the difference between your Tax Transcript and copy of your Tax Return? I thought they were about the same thing.

My husband and I filed online using TurboTax and for 2008, the final Tax document is 146 pages! I am sending a partial copy of this document, including the most important parts (federal and state). I didn't include, for example, the "worksheets" that are in that file, and some of the parts that were not pertaining to us.

Anyway, I didn't want to send them 300 pages for Tax only (2007 and 2008) so I am sending a partial copy (about 20 pages each). If they want to see the whole thing, I would be more than happy to print and send a big chunk package to them. But as for now, I will leave like this and have my fingers crossed.

from IRS "A tax return transcript shows most line items from your tax return (Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) as it was originally filed, including any accompanying forms and schedules. It does not reflect any changes you, your representative or the IRS made after the return was filed. In many cases, a return transcript will meet the requirements of lending institutions such as those offering mortgages and for applying for student loans. "

Basically it lists line by line what was on the Tax Return. I believe it's preferred because it's shorter (4-6 pages) and it's a official document from IRS.

Thanks for the clarification. I will leave as it is for two reasons: 1) I visited IRS website and it seems it takes 10 to 30 business days to receive the transcripts (and I am submitting my I-751 on Wednesday); 2) I re-read the instructions for I-751 and they don't request specifically the transcripts, but they say " joint tax returns". I understand the transcript is official since it is coming from IRS, but hopefully it won't be a problem to send just the return. As I said, I am including a partial copy which will contains the most important sections of the Transcripts.

But I appreciate you explaining the difference between both. It is always good to know :-)

If you call them, they will let you know, it usually takes less than 7-10 business days. I waited for transcript since I didn't want to copy a small book but I didn't see anyone having trouble because they didn't send transcript, although Partial or Federal only or Returns with no W2 might give you a trouble.
