Hey everyone! Wish us luck! My fiance's appointment letter came yesterday... we're set for the morning of October 14! My fiance's English is great, I don't think he'll have any troubles. We've got a scrapbook put together of my time here with him (a year and a half) and I'll send him in with my driver's license, passport, engagement ring and receipt, Chinese University transcripts and student card, etc...

Does anyone have any advice/encouragement for us? I'm nervous because I'm an American girl and he's a Chinese guy and you like NEVER see that combo, so I'm afraid they'll think we're fake or something?!

Anything specific we should know about filling in the forms they just sent in packet 4?

If anyone has anything to share, comments are welcome! I love my sweetie so much, and I SO want this to go through... we've waited forever :( !

Thanks peoples! :)

Ni how ma,

Congratulations, you made it this far. As for the interview you might take an approach not realistically open to me,

as both me and fiancée have finished raising families. You might talk about how you would like to raise your

future children, emphasizing the advantages of bilingualism and de-emphasizing any list of reasons you may be

thinking of as to WHY your fiancé needs to go to the US. To be happy together should be sufficient, because

all the assumed "opportunities" are meaningless if one or both are not happy.

Best of luck

Old Fart Edit: chopped the "e" off fiancée :bonk:

Good luck!

Moving this to the Embassy and Consulate Discussion forum...

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Thanks so much everyone!!

We've been working on filling in the DS-156 form today, and boy it's a pain! Like, questions 26 and 28 I'm not sure exactly how he's supposed to fill in... and they sent us the paper forms, two of each, I guess to fill in by hand?! But I'm reading here that lots of people say you should fill them in online or something... ???
