Hello all,

We are Matt and Martina. I(Matt) am an American Citizen from WI. Tina is currently back in Germany. We'll be getting married in 2 weeks in Germany. :)

I've been reading this site for the past few months as we prepare to file for CR1/IR1 after I return from the wedding. I love the site, I'm glad there are so many people sharing this experience who we can come to with questions. I can't wait to meet many more of you as we embark on this journey.

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

06-04-2009: NOA2

06-14-2009: NVC letter received in the mail

07-02-2009: Packet 4 received

08-27-2009: Interview - Visa approved!

09-03-2009: visa in hands.

09-20-2009: POE - Miami

09-21-2009: we got married!

06/06/2011 - Check cashed

07/11/2011 - Biometrics appointment

02/02/2012 - Phoned USCIS and put in a service request

02/08/2012 - Email from USCIS confirming my request

02/11/2012 - Letter from USCIS - says i should receive news within 30 days

03/14/2012 - Phoned USCIS again. 30 days has passed. no news. Took details again.

03/15/2012 -Received letter from USCIS - have to go to interview April 24th

04/24/2012 - Interview and ROC approved!!

I'm recently returned to the US after a fabulous wedding in Germany. Of course it was hard to leave and I miss my bride so much, but now I'm compiling our 130 packet and aiming for 10/16 to mail it in. Wish us luck. Matt and Tina.

Finally got the I-130 out yesterday. It only took me two weeks longer than I had hoped, but worth it to get it right. Now we're preparring for the NVC shortcut by compiling documents early and getting things out of the way ahead of time. Still, such a relief to get the package out there and the ball rolling. :dance:
