Ney, I'm not even trying to be funny but I know within my heart that this group is blessed. We've all had our ups and down. I've been robbled, involved in a car accident, waited ages for my NOA2 but 5 months later he's laying here right next to me; PaciencaYfe passed her interview at a very hard consulate; Jenn, whoo, let's just say the blessings from this group went with her to turkey. Nydvo had a miscarriage but I'm sure they'll recover and try again; AandD afetr waiting for so long, just to get RFE and 2 weeks later NOA2, she was blessed tpo get an interview date very soon after and pass the interview. We are truly blessed and I can't say Thank God enough.

i totally agree. our VJ group is a lucky charm!! :) i have to admit, this made me a little teary remembering everything and being so thankful for how lucky we all have been. :)

i am sore sore sore from cleaning all weekend! Maggie, Krystle - I too, can't believe how much damn "stuff" i have! I have the Salvation Army coming on wednesday and half a roomful of boxes and bags of things that i am donating. I have three more weekends - 2 more for cleaning and 1 for final touches and trying to figure out how to move around the stuff in the closets and drawers to make room for my honey.

hope everyone has a great day!

lol - good luck!!! It'll be so beautiful =) Enjoy it!

Can I open my background check? They gave it to me in an envelope?

I don't think you should Maggie...

Thanks everyone!!! (F)

Kjenkins, she will fly back to Dubai and get her visa (no more interviews), then either fly straight here or go back to Iran and come from thier with my brother-in-law. We are a blessed group!!!

Jenn, have a safe flight!

Oh ok, how soon?

A&D it sounds like you two have put a lot of thought into your travel plans. You'll be together before you know it!

and Thank you to all my well wishing friends.. We are less than 2 weeks away from the wedding :)

I am excited and super tired. Cranking out a wedding is a lot of work in a short period of time..

Somehow we went from a Vegas style wedding or a wedding on the beach into caterers, Dj's and STUFF!!!

I can't wait for ALL OF US to start sharing wedding pics..

Oh nice!!!

I'm now thinking about moving to my basement but it'll be so far away from my mom, sister and nieces :( But I have to decide and decide fast too because as of now he's still living out of his suitcases, I thought I made space but I guess not

Maggie, I know they give you one envelope that is to be handed in at POE and that one is to remain unopened. Is this the one you're talking about?

Gynto, I'm looking forward to the wedding pics!!!

Wow, I guess I hadn't even thought of the sacrafice on what you have to give up as far as material things are concerned. I'm such a sentimental person I have every card and letter that I have ever recieved. I have a slot in the top of two boxes, letters go in one, and cards go in the other. Every few years I go through the boxes and randomly read them. I have letters from when I was a little girl from family members that have long since passed away. I also have so many little keepsakes that have a great sentimental value for me. To many people some of my most beloved treasures are garbage, but to me they are priceless. I imagine it is extremely difficult to have to decide on what to let go of.

We are trying to see if we can get Najmeh here the beginning of April because my brother-in-law will be in Iran, and he can accompany her on her flight and assist her through POE (He is already scheduled to return on April 3rd). The way they have it set up at the Abu Dhabi embassy is ridiculas. The passport has to be dropped off on a Sunday at 10:00 AM, and the site states that "in most cases the visa will be ready by Thursday at 2:00 PM" And to top it off Persian New Year is the first day of spring and this causes the flight prices to Dubai to sky rocket to outrageous prices. And her mother has just went through surgery to remove a cyst from her breast, so she is trying to get approval to travel from the doctor. So she only has one day in the week she can drop off the passport and it may or may not be ready that same Thursday. Why does it take that long? All of this would have to take place before April 3rd for her to come here with my brother-in-law. We are all scrambling around to see how we can make it fall in place.

Oh and I was right, there is an expiry date on this one (peeked through the envelope through the window with it to see it lol)... it expires May 20th, 2010. I applied for it February 18/19 2010. So it is indeed in Nova Scotia, only good for 3 months.

So I suppose, with all the frustration of worrying that I may not get it in time, it's good that I waited and didn't apply earlier.

Hi Everyone

Apologies for not posting on a more regular basis, I have been monitoring everyone's progress. Congratulations to everyone who has already received their visa and to those still waiting hang on in there..

The good news is that I have my interview date (1st April) which is fabulous news! Just in the process of getting quotes from removal firms as well as quotes for shipping my two cats, just hope I am not jumping the gun too much but with such a lot to plan I decided to try and get all the pieces in place.

Really? What POE is he flying into?

Joanna is arriving at JFK on March 20th and spending a week in NYC with family then flying to Florida on 27-28 most likely. Looks like you and me will have the same date as the deadline to get married haha. I would love to spend a week in Florida but I only get one week paid vacation and March isn't a good time to take my vacation. Will be taking it on the 4th to the 11th of April.

Kjenkins I read more here then I post. I check VJ daily for the most part unless I'm dead tired after work. I really can't wait for Joanna to be here and to take my vacation from work.

On my end of the cleaning. I have so much stuff to do around the house before she gets here. The problem is I have no time off to do it. I taking a day off on the 25th of March to clean the house and take care of everything I need to do. I'm off on the 20th of March too but I will be at the 12 hour race in Sebring Florida. Wish me luck haha I'll need it.

I keep the place pretty clean but not up to her standard of clean. Plus I have to move bunch of stuff around the house. Fix the garden area from months of being to cold in Florida. I plan on getting all that stuff done on the 25th. I will have like 12 and half hours of day light and I have a plan...
