hey guys !!! ..

Please help . I have been waiting to hear any thing about my case since i received a letter from Vermont service center in 20 May 2009 says :

The processing in your case has been delayed, A check of our records establshes that your case is not yet ready for a decision as the requierd security checks remains pending ...

my wife is making an interview every week by InfoPass as they tell het everytime to re-new her interview weekly and in the interview they tell nothing .

My case is I824 filled at 1 April 2008 , I recevied a notice of action 23 july 2008 Received notice .

no updating since that and no touch !!!

Can you tell me what is going on please?? how long should i wait before i can do anything ??

how long it takes before the security checks will be done ?? and what after that ?

Is that Normal ? i haven't been in USA before .

It is not that no one wants to help this is a process that takes months to years as far as security checks. I know it is upsetting but to say no one want sto help is not correct.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Please stop telling this person to be patient unless you have been through this kind of thing YOURSELF. Has your wife tried to get Senators and Congressmen involved? That would be my suggestion if you have not already done so. There is really no reason a security check should take this long. Good luck and I hope you get things resolved soon.

seriously though.. why do so many people complain about how long this process takes? These people might be granting you residence in THEIR country. Why do so many talk and post like this is something that is owed to them?

i don't think its a matter of thinking its owed to them

i beleive most ppl genuinely miss their loved ones

and when you couple that with the financial stress of the process, it makes ppl frustrated

interestingly i see you have no timeline, why don't you create one?

I864 delivered November 2nd.....nvc logged it on November 5th

Why shouldnt they take their time on a security check? Perhaps they are being as thorough as they need to be to exclude the possibility that a fanatic might enter the country. And before anyone jumps in and says that that is a racist comment or something because they are from the middle east. I'd say no, it isnt. The middle east does in fact have a high number of extremists, many of whom have the same names (i.e. ahmed, mohammed, etc) who openly profess their hatred of the united states and secondly, I am an Egyptian-american, so....

I won't say you are being racist but you are definitely being insensitive. There are plenty of people from places like Pakistan and other middle eastern or "hostile" countries that make it through without any problems whatsoever. If they have a security issue with the person they just need to tell them that and quit hanging them in limbo. Just because we choose to be with someone in the middle east doesn't mean our lives together isn't just as important to us as yours is to you.

Ours was quick, we filed DCF but that isnt really the point. I'm not really whining about people being impatient. It's more of a principle thing and I feel that many people take for granted what they are actually getting out of this deal. Just because we didnt wait and get impatient doesnt mean that I cant have feelings on the subject.
