Got Approved! Questions Linger, Surprise

I am very happy to say that we had our AOS appt. and have been approved. At the meeting, I can recall the interviewer saying that we would be approved and that we would have to file a petition within 90 days of the temporary green card expiring, to remove conditions. Yesterday, we recieved a notice of action from the US government, stating that we had been approved and that the green card would arrive within 3 weeks. It stated that the greencard was valid for 10 years. It said nothing about the process of removing conditions that I have so thoroughly read!

Obviously time will tell the answer, but is it possible that she actually received her 10 year green card? Was this a rather generic letter sent out and will we have to adjust her status, within the 90 day window?

I don't think you would get the 10 yrs GC since you have been married only a year.

If you get it, it is a happy accident.

We've been married 14 months, so I think it is an accident or like I said, just a generic letter. Maybe someone within the USCIS thought that we were cute.

Congrats on the approval. Obviously you will have the answer to your question about the GC expiration in a little while when it arrives. But be careful, since you were married less than 2 years it should be a conditional GC. If an error is made and you get a 10 Year GC you should verify that it is ok (perhaps through an infopass) or you run the risk of getting in trouble down the road with a card that says it is still valid while USCIS and CBP think is expired based on there systems.
