WoW stories are funny!

We play very little latelly, just because it is something we can actually do together, we'll stop for a while once we are married and in the same cozy house! We are now "playing" with Facebook, it's a fun way to show friends of ours who can't make it to travel to US or Brazil to meet us! Send me a PM if anyone here has a facebook acc, maybe I can pester you guys to send me gifts from some of those browser games there ;)

post-76428-1258593074_thumb.jpg Hello everyone. It looks I am the new one here. I stumbled onto this site looking for answers to processing times for our k-1. Our K-1 is being processed at the VSC, my NOA1 was August 25, 2009. It was touched on 10-15-2009 but no activity since. I see here where other August filers were gettting NOAs in October. Is there a need to be concerned?

Welcome!

"thong" is the processing times person on our little group here... all I know is that you can start bothering them when your process is there longer then their official processing time, which I think is 5 months. I was probably one of the last ones in this little group to get my approval, it was on november 12, and I had RFEs. I got my approval though, hope yours is coming soon!

Nah, no need to worry before the 5 month period is up, but I know how you feel, mine came much later than the others (only 2 weeks ago) and I had no RFEs. Feel free to get frustrated though, I sure was, lol.

And dang, the Philippines people are way outnumbering the rest of us here. :P

First thing: make sure you placed enough stamps on your letter... ours went to Vermont and back to Oklahoma due to that... :bonk:

Not counting our little "oops" with the mail system: We sent our RFE October 19, from Oklahoma City, OK. USCIS sent us an e-mail update on October 30, saying they received our RFE answer. Then our case received many "touches" and NOA2 came November 12. Looks so fast reading those dates, but I was almost exploding here of anxiety =P

I'm putting my detailed timeline again on the signature, I think it is more helpful.

EDIT: Remember that depending on where you are in US, the time to arrive there might be different!

Welcome!! Sorry about the lateness (comparably) of getting your NOA2...it IS frustrating! I checked USCIS every single day, lol, and I had a very short wait time. We understand your frustration; it's hard for friends and family to completely grasp.

Generally from what I've seen it can be as little as a week up to a month or two. What was the RFE for?

So....anyone seeing New Moon? Don't hit me!! :crying: :crying:

Oh, and Carolina, any luck with the petition getting sent to NVC?

No NVC yet, I tried a couple time today, always busy... I'll be more persistent once we get our hardcopy of NOA2, it seems from timelines that those come pretty close together.

While visiting my fiancee in China, I received a letter at my home in the States, addressed to her. It is from the Embassy in Manila, saying she can schedule an interview. Is this Packet 3? Or does this come after actually scheduling the interview? (see below)

We can't schedule yet, as she won't be home until last half of Jan., and they have not opened up interview slots that far out yet.

I called to see if this is a problem that it came her and not to her address. Answer was 'No problem.'

A question for other Manila/Philippines folks. There is NO packet sent to fiancee. They give a web address at the Embassy, which has all the info needed to schedule everything and the documents/forms needed. Did anyone else get a packet?

She will also have to get police clearance for time she was in Japan 20 years ago. They said it may take up to 1 1/2 months, which means she might have to go back to finish her contract in China and come back for the interview in July.

It will all be a matter of timing...

Bruce

Try searching in the Phillipines board; I think you'll get better specific answers there. Good luck, and welcome back!

You have to get back to her and ask for more detail. You should have an email to both of you saying which packet it is.

This is the link to the text of packet4 for us; it should say packet3 or packet4 on the link they give:
