Nothing like rubbing the noses of us who did it legally in ######. Punish those of us who abide by the rules and let's give a break to those who flagrantly violate them. Any legal immigrant should be as appalled about this as a citizen is.

Yes indeed. But this admin will be given a pass because he is BHO. This is even more appalling.

bush was for it as was mccain.

The key point.

As the other poster said - pretty sure it was one of Obama's campaign commitments. Not sure why people should be surprised by this.

I'm not surprised by this, why would you think the OP was?

I disagreed with this when Bush proposed it and was rather happy when his attempt to "remedy" the situation failed.

I was distinctly unhappy to find out that both the ** and Republican't presidential candidates basically supported the same, failed Bush admin position. I hope it fails again.

I am seriously p*ssed that Janet Napolitano, the incumbent Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, saw that the measures at last being taken against businesses and illegals under her predecessor were beginning to have an effect and so suspended them, for fear of upsetting some, despite the endorsement of the majority.

So, surprised? No. Disappointed, yes. But hey, that's life.

Just because one forewarns that he is going to do something really stupid or asinine....... Doesn't mean we can't "react" when he actually does.

Pretty sure Obama indicated this was on his agenda when he ran. Also positive the current system is not working, can't ignore them, can't deport them all in any reasonable manner, and many come back after deportation. Building a wall and/or shooting on sight are hardly rational options, and won't work regardless.

Might be unfair, I know the thousands we have spent, the tons of waiting times to get the K-1 and all the way to now with conditions removed, seems quite unfair.

But, the system as it exists isn't working. The problem is decades old, and nobody else has tackled it. And again, Obama indicated he was planning what is indicated in this OP during his campaign. Getting our fee's back would be a nice nod to those of us who did the legal thing.

I personally would be more comfortable with Canadians and Mexicans and others further south of the border having the legal ability to come and go, short of granting citizenship as a bonus for being here illegally. But that is just me I guess...

This system does work but you guys don't enforce the laws. You allow illegals to roam freely and they say oh well it's broken.

Okay lets give them amnesty. Then what? Is the US just going to play the same game in the next 10 years and then too claim oh well the system is broken. Illegal immigration affects the quality of living of all Americans, including that of immigrants. That is reality. American is not a country with a bottomless pit of money. It also has a big problem with poverty. Allowing anyone and everyone to live here is not being compassionate. Low skilled labor needs to be trickled in so that it gives them a chance to actually improve there life. They cannot compete with millions coming in at once. It is also a huge security risk because you don't know who the hell is in your country. Illegal immigrants certainly have more than there fair share of representation in crime stats.

We even let you in.

Why do you care about your rubbed nose? How are legal residents 'punished' exactly? Talk about foolish expenditure of emoticons

I spent 3 years to get my wife here legally. With amnesty the illegals will have it handed to them on a silver platter, no fuss, no muss. I have a big problem with that as should anyone who has followed the law. Legal residents are "punished" by having to wait, spend lots of money and jump thru hoop after hoop. Why should someone who basically is saying F the US and their laws get a free pass?

You should be grateful to have champs like me in.

Australia would probably let you in too bro. I believe they have a special needs visa which you would qualify for, no questions asked.

The visa is classed DB..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Why would I be grateful to have an anti-American USA basher living here? That's even worse than an illegal. At least most of them are happy to be here.

What percentage of Aussies commit crimes in the US? We would have to hit the 5 decimal places mark to work it out. Eric the DB visa is waiting for you bro. I found the precise visa, it's class: Douche Bag.

Yeah says a lot that dirt poor people from a second world country are happy to be here. Man that is awesome.

The voice of the people decisively shut down Bush's comprehensive immigration reform (amnesty) push in 2006, and that was before they started being insulted for having an opinion. Barry's health care debacle has awakened awareness of the lies and deception that this admin will employ to get their way. After you repeatedly insult your voters, you can't expect them to agree with you much. The next attempt to reward illegals should make 2006 look like a peaceful dream.

I don't care about Australians commiting crimes, just anti-American, USA bashing ones who have no business being here.
