I have received another biometrics notice !?!

Of course, I can hardly contain myself when I see a letter from USCIS in the mail today. Riiiiip it open & it is another freakin I-797C - I have another bio. app. on the 08/22. What has happened? I did biometrics on 04/15!!! 3 & a half months of waiting after my original bio. for another appointment?

Does this seem correct? Should I call the mis-information line or just have biometrics done, AGAIN??

Oh!! And my name is now MISSPELT on this NOA. There is an 'e' in the middle of my first name when there is not supposed to be. Previous correspondence has had my name spelt correctly.

Man, I am so bummed out right now!!

Perhaps your fingerprints didn't "take" ? I've seen this happen a couple of times.

It is quite likely that the first biometric prints weren't good enough and the FBI sent them back. USCIS then sends you another notice for biometrics. When you go for the new appointment point out the error on the letter at the registration desk and they should be able to correct it for you.

Thanks for the replies. This just really sucks that it took so long to realize the prints were no good, if that is the case. I was really hoping for an approval notice within the next month or so. Now it is an additional 3 weeks simply to re-take biometrics & then who knows when to hear from them again. I feel so disheartened.

I experienced the same fate, only in my case there was no mis-spelling of the name and I received the second Bio appointment within a weeks of the first one I had taken. I went to the ASC and they said, it seemed like a computer glitch. The officer said, i could simply ignore it or come for the second appointment date. I asked is there a way to cancel the Second Appointment letter or would they give me something in writing, to which they said, they can't do that. I would advise, show up for the Bio rather than having your case messed up. USCIS is simply looking for excuses to hang applicants. The second time i went, I didn't even tell them that I already was here for a Bio a 10 days ago.

I just did second bio too. They say they were unable to process my first bio.

I had this last time too when I applied for the conditional GC.

I did 4 times over all.

Didn't your letter say " We were unable to process...." ?

If so, I think it is simply your fingerprints were no good.

But most of the time they send you the letter about a week after the original bio date.

It is so strange that they sent it to you after 3 months of your first bio...

I tried calling the phone number today as I noticed when re-reading the bio. notice that my A# is wrong on the second bio. notice, too. But the phone service is from Monday to Friday. Will call on Monday. I feel there has been a mistake made somewhere.

Ilovedram: Thanks for the suggestion. This bio. notice did not say, "We were unable to process..." This one looks exactly like the first one I got except for a new bio date, the code is '2' (previous one was '3'), my name is misspelt & the A# is incorrect.

It didn't even have your correct A#?

That is strange!!!

About the fingerprints: I had the same problem with my AOS. I had them taken for 3 times and then my husband called Immigration and told them about the problem. I don't have fingerprints or they are messed up. After he called them they sent a RFE requesting a Certification of Good Conduct from de local police. We sent it back and weeks later my process was approved without interview.

Well, now I know I have this problem, so when I start my Removal of conditions process I will request a new letter of conduct at the local Police and attach it with the documents and I hope it helps.

I called the 1-800 #.The lady on the phone took my correct information. She said that I should hear from my processing center within 45 days & that I must still go to biometrics, again. At least it is on a Saturday this time so I don't have to take time off work.
