we sent our IMBRA RFE in on July 1 (via certified mail) but we haven't received any emails stating that CSC has received it. my fiance thinks he has misplaced the tracking number for the letter (and he just left for a 3-week business trip so he can't exactly keep looking for it), so we can't even check if it's arrived or not. it's already July 9, and i'm a little worried.

how long does it usually take them to fire off an email after receiving the RFE? does everyone who signs up to receive email notification of updates always receive emails (esp. pertaining to RFE's being received by them)?

It took them a full week to send my email.

Same here, took exactly a week for me to get emails and updates on the RFE after I had sent it back.

5 Aug 06 NOA2 after 143 days in CSC purgatory

20 Oct 06 Interview Date

16 Feb 07 Denial Letter received

12 Mar 07 Motion to reconsider submitted

10 Sep 07 Motion to Reconsider denied

9 May 08 Lisa and Married in United Kingdom

23 May 08 I-130 filed

Oct 08 NOA-2 received

May 7 09 Lisa's Interview I 601 filed

29 Jul 09 I-601 waiver approved

18 Aug 09 Passport to London Embassy

20 Aug 09 Tickets purchased for 10 Sep 09

They received my RFE on June 30th and I got the email (actually two identical ones) on July 5th...guess that's about a week like the others.

04 May 2006 - Mailed I-129F to Laguna Niguel

09 May 2006 - Delivered to Laguna Niguel (USPS tracking) and is also the Received Date on the NOA1

24 May 2006 - Check cleared the bank

25 May 2006 - Received NOA1 in the mail (postmarked 24 May and notice date of 22 May)

28 June 2006 - Received IMBRA RFE in the mail (postmarked 27 June and notice date of 23 June)

29 June 2005 - Returned IMBRA RFE overnight service to CSC (signed as received at 7:46 AM, 30 June)

03 July 2006 - Received 2 identical emails from USCIS-CSSO saying they sent me the IMBRA RFE

04 July 2006 - Touched

05 July 2006 - Touched

05 July 2006 - Received 2 identical emails from USCIS-CSSO stating they received my RFE response on 5 July

06 July 2006 - Touched

25 July 2006 - Touched

25 July 2006 - Approved

31 July 2006 - NVC received my application

2 August 2006 - NVC sent my application to embassy at Kuala Lumpur via DHL

7 August 2006 - Received letter sent from NVC dated 3 August stating they received an approved I-129F

23 August 2006 - Packet 3 received

forgot the dates for interview, approvals and such...but we delayed for awhile so kids could finish school

29 December 2007 - K-1 and kids (K-2) arrived at LAX (oh..me too)

12 March 2008 - Got married

28 March 2008 - Filed AOS, AP and EAD

13 April 2008 - Received by USCIS

17 April 2008 - Notice date

21 June 2008 - Received AP approval letter

28 June 2008 - Received EAD cards

24 September 2008 - Received interview letter

Interview scheduled for November 25th

25 November 2008 - Interview in San Bernadino, GC approved

11 December 2008 GC received

I had the same thing. It was signed for on one day and officially received a couple of days later with email notice and update on the website.

Per USPS, my RFE was also received on 07/05/06, but still have not received any email notices as of now. What a bummer for me. .. :( ..
