I would like to get my baby driving lessons and maybe an inexpensive car so she doesn't have to rely on the bus all the time.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

big refund = over-withheld your own money = interest free loan for the government.

Why do people act like they won the lottery when they get a big refund?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Well I would love to know how much we are getting back on our taxes but we still haven't gotten Javier's W-2. They said they mailed it but it hasn't shown up yet. I don't think we will get back much any way. Javier has a 1099 also. They will probably cancel each other out. Congratulations on your big refund!!! Go out and party!:dance::dance:

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Why would you think I act like I won the lottery? I set up tax planning for something that didn't pan out so didn't owe want I thought, now I can use the money. Dude, you are way too serious and critical of others.

well since we aren't privy to the details of his refund or how much he paid in taxes, isn't it just nice to say congrats... ;)

Ihave plans to do the same thing with mine: driving lessons and some bucks for her first car.

Nice feeling, isn't it? :D We got a nice chunk of change back too so we treated ourselves to a new living room set that we badly needed (even if it WAS supposed to be delivered today and I slaved all weekend painting the living room so it would look nice and all and then the furniture company called and told me that because of all the snow they can't deliver it as promised but wil try to on Thursday instead...maybe  ) and it'll pay for our 2 week vacation in North Carolina this summer!

Good for you!

Congrats! It's a great feeling to not owe!

I'm still waiting for a couple of forms from Canada...and have no clue on US taxes so am doing my best to avoid the entire issue until March. ;)
