My husband and my future son-in-law absolutely refused to eat Indian food and sushi when we first met them. We eased them into it and now they love it.

He is right. Bengalis are bad with fish and sweets. Its just a well known fact in India that if you are Bengali you are born loving fish and sweets .

Daniel eats beef, pork, chicken. Daniel hates seafood and lamb (sentimental reasons, parents killed his lamb when he was a kid)

I eat chicken, lamb, shrimp. I hate beef and pork (nothing religious, just no taste for it)

So we just eat whatever we want. Would be very difficult otherwise. We do cook anything for each other though.
