Got approved. :) Got my text message around 7:30pm. No touch, just approved. :D

Back to my original point Guardian - this process is like LOTTERY because i bet you aren't b*tching now since you have your NOA2 and people before you don't.

So, the only way I rationalize it is by believing it is a matter of luck - this way, when people get it I can still cheer them on. And that's why I was trying to give you a positive outlook the other day ...Which from your response didn't go so well.

And on that note, Congratulations!!! I'm sooo excited for you...just like I was excited and happy for everyone else that got their NOA2. Goodluck on the rest of your journey ...wish you a swift one!!!

Make sure you keep us posted on the next hurdle ...NVC!!!

To the rest of my vj family - thank you :) And hope you are all doing well.

M&F

I am still here waiting and hoping each day that you get your NOA2!!!

I know it can happen any day or any second and know that drives you crazy!!

But rest assured it will happen!!

Thanks T&G

It will happen :) It is the anxiety that it could happen any second or a month from now that kills me!!!! ugh.

It will happen - I just hope it happens before all my hair turns grey!!! lmao

Sadly there's nothing 'fair' about the time between NOA1 and 2. I believe Marie is right, it's pretty much like the lottery. Too many factors that we can't do anything about - frustrating enough; the only thing we can do is wait...

Wait, wait, wait.. and more wait.. and also go half insane in the process. My heart really goes out to the ones still waiting for the NOA2, I'll be honest and say I don't know what sort of he!! that must be but I sure think of you guys every day and I would be so happy if you guys got approved now! We still got friday left, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good news! Something HAS to happen soon!!!

Ok - funny you should ask because I just got off the phone with USCIS ...

and you can get through to an operator if you don't press anything when you call until an operator picks up.

I was able to get to a supervisor but she pretty much didn't tell me anything new ...other that "you are within the normal processing time" she did mention - go to the local office! hahaha so maybe i'll try that.

But it never hurts to try.

I'll see if i get a touch or something based on the phone call.

Guys thank you for sharing your stories about your back-up plan, and for your support. I am sure we will all be successful, and have our SO's here in no time. I have been hearing that that Bombay consulate is much easier. So, I guess I have that in my favor. But, not taking any chances and preparing for the worst case scenario that seems to have been working for me. I did not take my RFE lightly and I went above and beyond to provide them what they needed. I am going to do the same concept with this. I guess it is better to be overprepared then under.

M and F I look daily at your posts to see if I see that approved underneath your timeline. I know its going to come. Hang in there and I am here if you want to vent.

Hi Everyone :-)

No no ... No updates. Lol

But I do have a question...

How many of you included a letter of intent in your k1 visa app??? This is for the uscis stage not for the respective consulate requirements.

Thank you.

A signed letter of intent is required by both the Petitioner and Beneficiary as part of the application package sent to USCIS.

Ok so there is not enough chocolate in my house to deal with this stress.

(As I munch away at my little chocolate cookies)

So I was glancing at the k1 visa forum and i read that a letter of intent needs to be included in the k1 visa app for uscis and I nearly fainted!!!!! (after I cursed out my attorney in my head)

I only submitted the following:

1. k1 app i-129

2. biographical summary for me and him

3. story of us

4. photos

5. emails

I did NOT include letter of intent and my attorney did not mention anything about a letter of intent.

I'm kind of pissed to say the least. But at least I can anticipate an RFE.

I am so mad actually.

Someone in the May thread did not include a letter of intent and she still got approved. She actually got an RFE for something very simple. I would not worry about the letter of intent.
