We've talked about Vegas but I don't want to do a "shotgun" wedding. Her father will come here from Russia and my parents will also go so I want to do at least a formal ceremony. An outdoor wedding would be great but I think it'll even be too cold in Vegas in January :) So we're looking around for ideas but Vegas keeps popping up, I guess because it offers the most convenience.

In any case we don't want to waste any time :) We've been ready to start our life together 6 months ago! :D

My issue is being able to plan a wedding when I don't know what the date will be - and putting something nice together...So we figured we would do something special just him and i for the k1 purposes and then do a ceremony (church style) down the line when we can actually plan and put everything together.

I also would like something special for him and I, and it seems as if we will be putting together something small and romantic, and possibly later plan something larger so we can have some friends and family around. I just keep having the 90 days limit ringing in my head, so our focus has mostly been to get married as soon as we can :innocent: Like LoveWaits, I do like the sound of an outdoor wedding, but I think Seattle will be too cold for it at that time of year.

Tonight I will be sitting him down to try and look through some more details for the wedding.. we have not nailed down anything specific and I feel it's deffinately time.. although HE seems to have all the time in the world

Hey everyone, happy 9/9/09! One day further into September, and hopefully we'll see some action from the CSC today.

All this talk of wedding plans is making me so excited! It's nice to read what everyone is thinking or planning. We've chosen an adorable little Victorian chapel that is close to my parents' place. A sweet little place tucked in the woods that has a fireplace and is, to me, the perfect place for a Winter wedding. It would be COMPLETE bliss and perfection if it could be a Christmas themed wedding, the week between Christmas and New Year's, but that might be pushing it time wise. It's my dream though. :innocent: It's a tiny little place that only holds 50 or so people and you can book it rather quickly. then we're going to do a huge, outdoor bash of a reception next summer.

I'm lucky cuz my guy loves to talk about this stuff and will plan/daydream with me all the time. I know he's just as anxious as I am about all of this (they really are, ladies  they just hide it better than we do) But SeanyB is right, they want this just as much as we do, men are just better at hiding it and acting reserved and being patient. At least my fiance is better at it than I am, don't want to make any generalizations about the sexes!

Let's face it...it's crazy overwhelming love for all of us! (L) It would have to be to go through all of this!

here's to moving quickly and all being together soon with the ones we love!

Would it be a bad idea for us to send the CSC a huge gift basket with a note "Best Wishes and Speedy Processing from the July 09 Filers Club"? :D

Heck I'd send them donuts in the morning every day if I thought it'd help :jest:

Welcome Zahid1982, it's nice to have you here with us! :star:

lol @ LoveWaits.. I would so pitch in on your sweets and baskets if it just would help! (L)

Thanks for the happy 09-09-09 wishes, RoughSweet! All I can think every morning is how we are now one day closer until we can be with our babies. I feel I am back in middle school again :innocent: You're absolutely right about the love too, you know you're deeply in love when you're willing to wait 6 months until you can see your honey again! Also reading about your wedding (and everyone elses too!) really puts a smile on my face. Wade here wants us to spend a weekend all alone after the wedding in a lodge somewhere either in the mountains or in the woods.. and just like you, he also would like to have a fireplace and all that romantic stuff around ^^

I'm just really, really excited about everything - even though waiting is tough. It lets us think, dream and be filled with anticipation for the life that's awaiting us <3

I prefer seeing some kind of daily activity on Igor's list - and I know I am not good in the patience department but not seeing anything since 9/7/09 is frustrating!!!

We need to celebrate for whoever the first July filer approval will be!!! How exciting! That will pretty much get the ball rolling :)

I just feel like it is just around the corner!!! I think we will start to see someone from July group at least starting 9/15 no???

Wish you all a great afternoon :)

My guess is July filers will start getting approved around 9/25 and one of us that has posted on this thread will get NOA2 by 10/01. Hard to say though. I definately wish things were getting approved a lot quicker! The first week and a half of each month has less approvals at CSC, but it seems midmonth is "cracking". ;)

Ohh I know, I know. Here I was thinking I am the only one impatient, lol! I check the list every day, silly as I am. The last days it has been no progress.. slow progress before that, and yesterday we were even bumped back one day in line! How can that be.. not making progress is one thing, backtracking is an entirely different story!

We'll just have to try and be patient, friends, it's soon our turn!

Let's just hope we don't get lost in the 6M+ system or get any RFEs!

I'm not sure, I was hoping we would see something by the latter part of this month but they've slowed down. It seems to go in waves and I think I read somewhere that as part of the process they have to wait for results from background checks (FBI?)? So maybe thats whats going on now, they sent off a June batch and as soon as those come back we'll see a rash of approvals like we saw for May? I'm only guessing/hoping. In any case, once we see that next wave I think the July ones will start popping up.

I think when Katia gets here my first act of celebration will be taking my webcam out to the back yard and smashing it like the copier scene in Office Space (for those who've seen that movie). :D I don't want to go near Skype or a webcam ever again after that :)

OMG! What you said had me laughing at work. I have gotten so advanced with technology. I just got back from lunch and I told my other half during my msn chat with him on my blackberry - "the minute you land - you can make your calls to your family to tell them you arrived but right after that i'm throwing my blackberry out the window (i always have msn chat on and waiting for emails and possible calls etc) and i'm throwing my laptop with webcam over my balcony!!!

I'm sooooooooooo over it! What's worst is that in Lebanon electricity gets shut off at certain times and connection via internet is so and so - so i'll be sooooooo happy to get rid of all this technological stuff that i practically have attached to my hip!!! Omg ... just to have him in front of me even if I don't say a word will be priceless!!! But your visual of the copier scene is soooooooooooooo true!!!!!!

Thanks for the laugh Lovewaits!!

LOL, Lovewaits....uhhhh.....yeah.....I'm gonna need you to.....go ahead and wait a long time for your approval. (That's my best Office Space boss :) )

I have to admit that I smiled at the mention of a possible 9/25ish date for an approval for one of us. That's my birthday :) I don't want to tempt fate or anything, but I've daydreamed many times....

I think the long holiday weekend was the hardest part, combined with it being the beginning of the month. Hopefully we'll see some blazing speeds heading toward the end of the fiscal year. And remember, far fewer June apps than there were May :)

Hang in there Julyers!!

I just checked Igors just now and noticed today how we jumped 5 numbers from yesterday!

We also got our NOA1 dated for July 15, so we should be seeing our NOA2s back to back I hope x)

I just hope CSC will buckle down and do a bunch of work the rest of september. I am so excited for all of us!

Wade and I was overlooking things for our 2.packet (yes.. a bit ahead of ourselves, LOL) and he managed to tell me that he want me to make another copy of the I-129f package we mailed so he can bring it back to the US with him  He want to look through it, read our e-mails, watch the cards, photos and everything else in a put together state while waiting for me to get there. I personally don't really want to see more paperwork right now, I just want to see an update with CSC, tehe. Impatient as I am... :innocent:

Have a nice september 10 to all of you july-filers!
