go get a life.get off your computer give it some rest.and go look around and do something else lazy people.

stfu. It's a public message board. So, are you gonna go start a new poll now saran, complaining about how you're getting "picked on" again?

why are you calling me saran.how many times i have to tell you my name is salman.salman abuzarr.yea its a public message board keep in your mind too.

No one here has violated TOS. No one here has been any more insulting than you have.

what is TOS?,i dint insult anyone before they do.

You don't own this board, or this thread. You started this thread - that's where your ownership ends.

but i want help and i dont want people like you who are telling me whats rude and whats cool.ok

If you really wanted help with a job search, you would take us as seriously as you claim you want us to take you.

yea right but you didnt take me serious.

For starters - What is your field of work? Experience? Background? Educational profile? Which region of the country do you live in?

i have no experience before, might go to community college.i studied till 12th grade with calculus, geometry, physics, chemistry being my majors at high school.

If I would ever dare to ask strangers for help, I'd volunteer some information like this, so that the responses would be useful.

this forum is for helping each other.k

if i was being rude you could have told me before.i m sorry if i was being rude but i never meant it.

I wouldn't just say "hey! I'm an unemployed n00b. How can I get a job?". That's just freaking RUDE .

then tell me how should be asking.

First - scroll up on this page, and read the message from Krikit. Ok. Now read it again. Ok. Now once more. She's giving you the best advice you're going to get on VJ.

Second - I called you saran because we had another person who has been banned from VJ with that name. I thought you may have been saran. Krikit is assuring us that you are not, so I am willing to give you a fresh start.

Third - since you have a high school education and no college or work experience, that does help focus the kind of advice to give you. For technology professionals, I would recommend dice.com as a good starting point. But dice.com would not be helpful to you. You can try monster.com as others have suggested, the online version of your local newspapers, or also craigslist.com.

The thing you should keep in mind with any online job searching tool is that the odds of getting any success on a position are pretty low. Many positions advertised are already filled internally, many are posted just to comply with regulations that a job be externally posted. For those that are legitimate, expect to be competing with hundreds of applicants. If you have no special experience or skills, it is hard to stand above the crowd. Work on your resume, highlight any strengths you think make you special.

Use the online tools as a way to network and find out which companies are out there, types of positions available, locate recruiters, etc. What I used to do when searching was find companies that were posting on dice or careerbuilder, then look up their corporate websites and find all their available positions, and try to get in touch directly with their HR orgs or ideally a hiring manager. Sometimes you get lucky and can get a direct email address to a hiring manager that way. Job searching is real work, hard work. Don't expect to get a job just waiting for it to drop in your lap.

i am grateful for your help.

see scandal thats how you should have told me.

Don't you DARE lecture me buddy. Not unless you want to start this flame war right up again. You came this close to pissing me off, and you're right on track to doing it again.

Try checking in your local newspaper (either paper or online) for jobs. It will depend on your education, field, and work experience. Also try temp agencies.

Have people forgotten how to read the OP's first post? and other posts not just here? There was a poster named saran that we thought this person was, once brought to the attention we tried to make nice, but sometimes that is impossible. As far as helping look at the history of the supposed non helpers and I'm pretty sure once you look hard enough you will see more help than you can imagine.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

No no, my reading comprehension skills are fine. You're a bully with too much time on their hands. If this guy pissed you off much way would you sit there and type out an effing novel as a reply? Get a life and please, no more pictures of your fiancee - that might be a violation of the TOS.

God some of the people on here are ridiculous!! Anyway, what you need to do is get the phone book out where you are living and look up "temporary agency" and give them a call. Some of them can hook you up with temporary jobs that can become permanent. You might also check the Sunday newspaper in your town and there will be job listings as well. Good luck to you!!

thanks a lot

you are my pal.lol

they suck.

they are like sticking to my posts like an old tape.i want to get them off my posts.

this is one way.

internet is the easiest way.can anyone help me with this?

and there are like some community centers and job facilitating centers.

And just why are you bothering to reply to me?

You are calling me a bully. And if I read you right, you are insulting my fiancee who is not part of this discussion at all. You want to taunt me, go right ahead. But impugn the honor of my betrothed and that's a whole 'nuther category of warfare dude, one that I will not treat lightly. Humorous monkey cartoons are not a TOS violation. Personal attacks against my fiancee most certainly are.

I don't know you, haven't picked a fight with you, haven't called you any names. Yet you insist on calling me out. Hmm. Too much time on hands you say? Pot calling kettle black syndrome perhaps? Fella, you don't know the first frickin thing about me or my time management skills.

Did you by chance see the commentary I left for OP?

Yeah, this bit:

since you have a high school education and no college or work experience, that does help focus the kind of advice to give you. For technology professionals, I would recommend dice.com as a good starting point. But dice.com would not be helpful to you. Let's see you post something directly targeted and helpful to OP's question, or are you content to just sit around and play pattycake with me like a little whiner who has nothing of substance to add.

Get a life. Or go play in traffic. Your choice.
