Hi,

I wanted to go to my wife's interview at ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN. I have only one week of vacation time. Does anybody knows how long it takes to get the actual visa. Does Amex send it to your home or you have to go and pickup the visa.

Thank you and best of luck to all.

Why not go and stay for the time you can. If you can bring SO back at the same time GREAT if not, you know they will join you soon.

This is what I am doing. I fly to Senegal on the 3rd and fly home on the 7th. I'm HOPING they will issue visa the same day (they issue on Tues & Thursdays and our interview is on Thursday the 6th), but if they don't then he'll get the visa on the 11th and fly home on the 12th.

Just my humble opinion.

Also Remo has an interview on Wednesday next week in Islamabad so we'll know soon enough :)

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

My reason to go to Pakistan is to bring her with me, otherwise it does not really work for me. I do not want to go if she is not coming back with me. Let see how Remo interview goes. Good Luck to Remo. I have noticed now a days they give the visa after at least one week delay through courier service. Thanks for the reply

Being there for her at the interview is a good reason to be there also.

I'm going not because my husband NEEDS me there but because it helps to show bonafide marriage.

Same here. It will be heart breaking to leave him behind yet again, but ... :sigh:

He'll be here in no time, I come back end of August, and he will follow either last week of September or early October.

I agree with everybody said above. You should go for the interview to be there for her moral support. Wouldn't matter if she'd leave with you right away or not, more important would be you'd show the CO you care about your wife, your marriage and your future together
