Fox and Friends host Brian Kilmeade and two colleagues were discussing a study that, based on research done in Finland and Sweden, showed people who stay married are less likely to suffer from Alzheimer's. Kilmeade questioned the results, though, saying, "We are -- we keep marrying other species and other ethnics and other ..."

At this point, his co-host tried to -- in that jokey morning show way -- tell Kilmeade he needed to shut up, and quick, for his own sake. But he didn't get the message, adding, "See, the problem is the Swedes have pure genes. Because they marry other Swedes .... Finns marry other Finns, so they have a pure society."

I just crack up at 'both' sides calling the other fascist. I must remind people that political fascism is polarized to the right side of the wingnut scale. Very, very far right. Food for thought for the right wingnuts reading this.

With that said... I'd love to see some of the master race breeding results from Aryan homogenization of the gene pool.

Plus, the idea that "Swedes marry other Swedes, ergo they are pure" is bakvas--how does Kilmeade know that all Swedes are of one genetic makeup (reality: Swedes are descended from Vikings, known to be marauders who oft brought back captured slaves/thralls), let-alone Finns (descended from combination of Hun invaders and local inhabitants--which shows that Kilmeade is an ignorant chop)?

One thing about living in a small farm town with only 3 or 4 different last names in the phone directory, certainly can expect inbreeding and run across your share of idiots.

One thing I learned very quickly in breeding German Shepard dogs is to go back as far as you can and learn the medical history of the dog you are intending to breed with. In reality, mutts are far more healthy than so called pure bred dogs. You can have disastrous results if you don't and in terms of money, can be quite costly.

Feel this applies to humans as well and perhaps should be a part of a marriage license, if you and your mate share common genetic faults, can almost be 100% sure your offspring will even have worse results. In a medical family, hear about these cases all the time with the severe hardships they go through with deformed children like a baby dying of cancer before it's first birthday. Does race enter the picture? Can't go along with that if the couple has minimal genetic defects, getting medical history data is becoming far more common today, but is done, after the fact.

Race was certainly an issue with me in my younger years, was raised in a very prejudiced society. Kicked that out the second time around, more important to find a person you are 100% compatible with. If race becomes an issue, you will never meet your soulmate, but if planning on having kids, may be good to compare genetic defaults in your history. But that is still a gamble where only God may have the answer, science isn't exactly there yet. Having a genetic defective child can have both financial and emotional problems in a marriage.
