Hi there!

My fiance called is congressman yesterday and explained him our case (154 days since NOA1 without anything since then...) His congressman called straight to the CSC and got to talk to people who actually do really know something. They told him that our is on somebodys desk right who is working on it. I do really really hope, that we will finally get NOA2.

Well, my fiance is the USC and im German. I dont really know what congressmen can do in general and if they can contact the French embassy. But I would give it a try. Just call your congressman´s office and they will tell you if they can help you at all... Good luck!

Well, the average wait time for an interview at the Embassy in the Dominican Republic is 16-20 months ...... and letters or phone calls to Congressmen seem to have very little impact ...???

But, it can't hurt to try.

I am so sorry to hear how long it is taking you guys that is absurd, and I am sorry your congresspeople/senators have not been helpful, unfortunately they are supposed to be "our voice" in the government. Unfortunatly there are not many of us affected by IMBRA compared to the whole population of the US so (sorry for being negative) but we do not really matter unless it gets votes.. We will see what happens though.. My congressmen of my district was one of the few that voted against IMBRa and that is why I contacted him.. I have got nothing back but I will let you guys know..
