For others who's cases have been transferred, my hubby's medical exam for his K1 visa is coming up on one year. Aren't those medical exams only good for a year? Sigh..I'm not looking forward to an RFE for that. Especially since he will be gone the whole month of November so that will delay it more! Maybe I'm worrying too much(again )

Congrats to all who have had their GCs approved!

I am still waiting to hear on mine. Since they haven't sent me any RFEs after my interview, I'm guessing they are still waiting for the other office to send them my employment based AOS before they can approve my family based one. They said it will take anywhere from a few days to a few months for them to get the other office to send it to them... kinda crazy...

I am in the same boat, we are leaving nov 4th to see her family for a few months. I really hope we don't get an rfe for the medical, it would cost a lot of money to move up our flights, plus the cost of the medical. Sigh, we really need the gc before jan.... I am even considering just doing the medical before we leave and just leave it with my parents in case we get an rfe so there is no delay. Any ideas?

Congratulations to you all!!

My wife had our baby on September 30,2009 at 11:37p.m in Laguna Hills, California.

She delivered the baby right before October 7 AOS interview.

My interview will be October 7, 2009 at 9:35 p.m at the Santa Ana USCIS office.

I will host how it went for me that day.

Starburst we have to definitely keep in touch. I don't know anything about the Removal of conditions procedure, I think I have to apply in late June 2011, is that right?

--so u were done on ur interview right..?i just wanna ask something..my interview date is near..is it gonna be a problem if i dont bring original copy of my birth certificate..?i really cant get original copy back in our country cuz u know there still flood in manila..and its gonna be weeks after i receive it..

--when i filed my AOS i sent them the copy of my birth certificate..just a copy..so do u think its gonna be a problem if dont have the original..?

Just got a text message that card production was ordered on my hubby's GC! :dance:

We were cooking dinner and his phone beeped and we saw the text and I said "USCIS!" so we both made a beeline for the laptop and went online and saw the status and then were like WOW!!!!! and started jumping around....

Woohoo! Looks like they're finally moving on transferred cases

We were cooking dinner and his phone beeped and we saw the text and I said "USCIS!" so we both made a beeline for the laptop and went online and saw the status and then were like WOW!!!!! and started jumping around....

Yeah I don't know much about it either, but I think that June 2011 sounds right for us.

I've gotten in such a habit of keeping paystubs and collecting other things, I've still been doing it!

I think by then though, I'll have so much stuff to send in, I won't need an interview. At least i hope not!!

We've had to redo the whole medical and were well within one year. Our best theory at this point, besides immigration being inconsistent, is that the chest xray he took for TB is only good for 90 days and that 90 days was up by the time we sent in our AOS package. My best advice, just redo the medical. The CS may charge you just as much to transpose the records as to do the whole thing anyway.
