The glucose tests really are the worst! I was happy that I only had to have the 1 hour test because even that made me feel nauseous. Probably partly my fault because I was a little hungry by the time I went to have the test.

Well, I had a cervical exam at my 34 week appt. this past week. I am 2 cm dilated, 80% effaced and twin 1 is in 0 position right in my pelvis. I was told that I could have the babies at any time. Yikes! I met with my long-term sub (I'm a teacher) on Friday afternoon and asked her to come in starting Monday instead of starting on the 12th. At least it will give me some peace of mind because there are a lot of things for me to show her that it would be hard for others to do since teaching is so autonomous by nature.

Eveline--I hope you are cuddling a sweet little baby right now and feeling really well. Take it easy!

Good luck Kristi, sounds like you don't have too much longer to go. Hope it all goes smoothly for you! I have no doubt it will be just fine. You've had a really healthy pregnancy up to now! I keep imagining trying to manage twins....I'm run ragged after just one, LOL! Make sure to get plenty of rest in!

the glucose test was ok for me..

i had the orange drink and it was really yummy.. lol

I HAVE to comment on your pics. Your belly is too cute!

Hey Nizzy, how does your belly look now? LOL, mine is like a deflated balloon! Looking at it I can't imagine it will ever get back to normal again. After giving birth I discovered all these stretch marks under my bellybutton I couldn't see looking down!!! I gained 42 lbs (I know!!) but have dropped 26 already. Apparently there was quite a bit of fluid there! Can't wait to be able to exercise. I have a docs appointment tomorrow so I will clear it with him. Still anxious about the extensive repair work down there, if you know what I mean!

Anne, I have to agree with Nizzy. You have a cute baby belly!

I've gained about 35 lbs. this pregnancy, but I was about 20 lbs. overweight to begin with. I think that must be why the twins are such good weights (estimated at 6 lbs. 9 ounces and 5 lbs. 3 ounces at the 34 week ultrasound) even though I didn't know about having twins until I was 20 weeks along. Even my doctor was surprised because I'd been to several pre-natal visits and we had heard just one heartbeat.

Irisheyes--I hope that I will drop about 26-30 lbs. after the babies are born. I have had such swollen feet and legs since 5 months or before and I can't wait to have my normal legs again! You can probably imagine all of the lovely stretch marks I have now. My lovely husband pointed them out to me when they were on the lower part of my belly and I couldn't see them. I have no trouble seeing them crawling up my belly now though. I just remind myself that they will fade in time and I was never a bikini person anyway.

lol...your post made me giggle cause it's so true! "Deflated balloon" is a perfect description of my belly. About the stretch marks below my bellybutton I had hubby check it out and tell me because I couldn't see it either! I'm anxious to get into some sort of exercise routine too. The weather in Chicago has been horrible so once I get to Virginia I will start walking.

KJandSH: I keep telling myself the same thing! That the marks will fade...it's a mantra now...And you will definitely lose a lot of the weight!

Hey girls! I just wanted to wish all of you luck with your pregnancies. And to all of you: I hope that each day goes by in happiness and smiles. I am leaving tonight and I don't know when I will get a chance to be online again.

Eveline: I hope everything went fine and I hope that you, baby, and daddy are all doing great.

Bye for now everyone!!

Oh how cute these pictures are. Soon, I can take pics like those too...
Eveline, I'm so sorry you're still hanging around. I can imagine how frustrating it must be. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Here's my announcement for today. I'm gonna be induced tonight or tomorrow morning. They want me to call in the labor & Delivery unit tonight at six and then they'll tell me if a bed is available (they are all busy today) and we're going in. I'm all excited and although I never wanted to be induced I'm glad that finally things are happening and I don't have to sit and wait anymore at 41 weeks only 1 cm dilated and 25% effaced. Wish me luck...

any word yet?

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this thread and basically new to this forum. My husband and I are expecting our first at the beginning of June. :star: She is a bit of a suprise but we're thrilled. We're waiting on his K-3 to come through so hopefully he'll be here before the baby arrives!

(And as someone that just took the glucose test.. I agree. Its the worst thing ever!)

Nothing I say is legal advice. I recommend you consult a qualified immigration attorney for any questions you may have.

anyone know of a message board or two for parents that is set up like this one kind of? I know there are a lot out there like the ivillage ones but I don't like the set up. Any suggestions? I need support on getting a tubal ligation reversal and figure why not join a board that will take me from there to when the baby is born. :)
