Salam All,

It is nice to discover the MENA forum. I was reading in some topics and notice the abbreviation " MENA" but I did not bother to know what does it mean. But, once I posted a topic and people were mentioning in their replies "MENA", Then I decided I need to know what does it mean, I am happy to have discovered such a forum. I found you guys :). I have been reading most of your posts in the last couple of days, so I thought I'd introduce myself to you guys as I am new here. I am Palestinian married to a cute American wife, Rebecca, currently living in Palestine, hopefully moving to San Antonio in the early future. Here's a brief history/timeline:

August 30th, 2007 the first meeting of my beloved Becky " it was funny"

November 21, 2007 got engaged

February 7th, 2008 got married in Palestine

July 24,2008 I-130 Sent

August 26,2008 I-129F Sent

February 25, 2009 Petitions approved

May 14 interview passed but required additional documents

June 15 the additional documents were received at the consulate in Jerusalem.

Waiting for My visa , time unknown

I really enjoy reading your posts in this forum. I look forward to share thoughts and ideas.

Salaam

Welcome Aboard!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

welcome to the MENA forum!

I hope you hear back from the consulate soon about the additional docs. I've been keeping an eye on your thread in the k3 forum to see if you have any updates.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
