My friend was denied. She filed appeal with additional evidence (mainly re-wrote her statement with more details). After that they sent her approval.

hi, did she hire a lawyer to file the appeal on her behalf? do you know how long she had to wait?

hi,

I filed for VAWA in 2005 and recieved the prima facie. I was send an RFE which I answered. I was then sent a NOID (notice of intent to deny) stating that they still wanted further evidence otherwise my petition would be denied. I sent further evidence and my !360 was approved. So before they send you an outright denial they have to send a NOID, then if you cannot send any further evidence you then be denied. From here you then appeal.

Hope that helps

Shona
