I have a question about the Fathers section on the G-325A that my fiance will be completing.

Ok, My fiance's father passed away when she was about 6 months old and her mother at the time was not married to him. Actually she was young like 16-17 years old. On her birth certificate there is no info about her father not a name or signature and my fiance never took her fathers surname. On her birth certificate, passport, and all other records she always used her Mothers surname.

My question is: does she have to put her fathers name on the form or just mark none? Also, will they question why her last name does not match the fathers last name if she adds him?

Thanks,

Brandon

My father's name is not on my birth certificate, it just says undisclosed. I put "unknown" for my father's info on my paperwork and we got our NOA2 with no RFE. Also, my maiden name is the same as my mother's, I never had my father's name, never used it and it was not questioned.

Really =) Thanks!!! sounds like a similar situation and you had no problems. So unknown in the fathers name or all the fields pertaining to the fathers info?

Thanks again

Do not write "none" for "father" and only write "unknown" if it's true. If you know the name and nothing else, write the name and "unknown" only for what is unknown. Never lie and ALWAYS be accurate when filling out immigration forms.

Yep, if you know his name write it down, if it comes up in the interview why his name is not on birth certificate then explain. Simple.

Not possible for it to be None.

List all the info you do know and Unknown for any info you do not know about.
