Hello, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the NVC or Embassy/Consulate will send me (the petitioner) a letter notifying of me of my fiance's interview date or is there only one letter about interview date sent to the beneficiary? Also, will the NVC know of the interview date once it is set by the embassy so that I can call the NVC to find that out? Thanks for any help. ~Jan~

Once your case reaches the Embassy/Consulate it becomes the foreign fiancé/spouse's visa application so the notification is to him/her (not to the USC). Also, NVC will not know what date the Embassy/Consulate has scheduled for interviews.

You however may contact the Consulate/Embassy directly - check the Embassy Section (above) for best method to contact them.

I received an email from the NVC with the date of the CR1 interview for my husband. I think he was the only one to receive the email about the date of the K3

because "K" visas are non-immigrant visas and are processed and scheduled by the local consulate and not NVC

YMMV

The petitioner will not receive any notification from the embassy but you can track the progress by calling the department of state visa line at 202-663-1225 options 1,4,1,5,0. This will get you to an operator. Give them your USCIS or DOS case number and they will be able to tell you if the embassy has mailed Packet 3 or 4, the interview date, ect...

Timeline complete and up to date! Check it out!

To track DHL shipment of your petition from NVC to the embassy refer to this posting
