Consulate Review: Morocco
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 17, 2009
Embassy Review : well ,we applied in the last weeks of December 2008, and after the long waiting our case been sent to Morocco in March 26th ,so they sent me the packet after that and i got it in April 16th telling me that i need to bring with me to the Interview and some papers that i need to apply and the date/Time i need to go to there ... so the date was May 14th at 8Am cool ... in that day there were a lot ppl there so after u pass the guards u need to wait ur turn in the other side of the street in front of the consulate so i got in at 8:24 after u pass the Xray u find ur self in front of so;e office to pay the fee and give them the passport and the paper they sent u to apply there was a Moroccan lady that doing that work after u pay she asks u to take a sea,t in the waiting room it is the same room when u get the interview so u can hear all the questions an the answers of ppl that having the Interview ,so sometimes u hear ur Visa has been approved or u hear sorry ur Visa is denied so that really was a hard time there , so after a few hours they called me and it was a different Moroccan lady that took my fingerprint , and asked me a few questions and took the papers that i brought with me and my Med Exams , and what language i prefer to have the interview with ( of course it was the English language ) .after that she asked me to take a seat again . well all ppl left and there were still just me and 3guys i realized we are 3 K1 and 1 K3 we were the last there , so i they called me at 12:30pm ao there was a young American guy that called me to the Interviewing me, (when they call u to get on the kinda like a Phone booth ) so he asked me to take the phone there and asked me to sign an application that says i should marry in 90days when i got to US , then he asked to put by finger in the fingerprint .. well they we go he start asking me questions ( when... where... what.... how.. and and and and and and ) i did good since i don't have problems with English and i can say he was a nice guy and we laughed a little even he tried to stay serious , so the Interview was good even i was mess with one question but i just said what i knew...so it was a long interview and in the end he asked me to give him the Evidence and he gave me the 221G ( upon review ur case )and he said we will call u after she cheek the evidence he didn4t said anything about approving my Visa ..so i just left i was confuse yess.. after that My fiance / her parents emailed the consulate and all they were saying (my case is in the AP ) it was a really hard time of waiting ... but after three weeks i got a call from the consulate the guy that called me asked me to bring my passport in the morning of the next day to pick up My Visa with me in the afternoon WOW that was a good news that i never heard so in June 9th i got my Visa, after i got the Visa i really forgot all the street and every bad moments i lived waiting for that ...

it wasn't a good Experience 100% but it was good anyway

Good luck for everyone

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
