Hey guys...

My interview is tomorrow at 9:30 AM in San Bernardino CA... am nervous as hell.

I have the following documents as proof of our relationship.

1. Joint savings Bank account from Altura Credit Union - Letter from the CU -Just opened so dont have statements

2. Letters and Pacakges sent by my mom [ only the UPS and post office label]

3. 10 Pictures togather in different locations [ 1 from the court wedding we had] - Not social people, dint have a fancy weddign just the court one.

4. Marriage cirtificate / the vows taken during marriage

5. Tickets of us flying togather from bangalore-chennai and back and also from India to US - before marriage but wasnt shown at k1 interview.

6. Itinerary for our trip to UK [business visit] on the 9th of june 2009 [ the next day after my interview]

7. Valentines day card

8. Bills - my name with the address we reside in and some bills in his name with the same address [ No joint bills ]

Am also carrying all proof we took for the K1 interview.

photo's, letters, emails, pacakges sent, trip to india, his India visa.

Passports

Birth Cirtificates

MY EAD

My AP

Social Security Card

1-94

His 2008 Tax returns

My salary slips - working since Jan 09 as proof of income.

Have I missed anything? do I need to carry anything apart from this ?

I know his family and his educational background and he knows mine.

We know our dates[ birthday, wedding, proposed on]

Work and companies

Hobbies and interests, food we like and colours we like.

Please help!!!

Am not sure if my advice will help you because my interview is next month and this is what I have so far everything U have mentioned. I have lease contracts for 2 terms 2yrs , Credit cards both our names,utility bills both our names,Cable, cell phones both our names, Car insurance, tickets took 2 trips together have those tickets, Church membership Certificates, A lots of pics with her Family from thanksgiving to Graduations, Birthday parties to Home coming party,Family reunion, so far I have 84 pics with me and my wife Family Plus my wife pregnant with my son due October...

As long as you've got everything the interview letter asks for, what you've got as far as proof of bona fide marriage sounds fine. Remember, it's all about what makes your marriage unique to you. For us, our IO was impressed by the photos we brought. Honestly, they probably won't even ask to see any of it, but it's really good to have as much as possible, just in case. Keep us posted please. trillium13 : I do have everything as per the interview letter but was worried about the proof as most of them here have a lot of financial proof [ We have seperate accounts as we do not want finances getting us into a dent with out relationship].. we just opened a savings account which is different from our personal accounts.

GheTToJaTTi : We do not have life or health insurance here. I have a lot of life insurance policies back home [which are paid by my savings and by my mom in india]

To be frank we did not have the time or excess money to buy insurance here. I have been working UK hours and due to the economy he is finding it hard to get projects.

We didn't have any joint accounts at the time of our interview. The closest we had was a 401K of mine, with him listed as the beneficiary. We didn't have much joint anything, since my husband had only had his SS# for a short time before our interview. We did fine though, and you guys have more than we did. I know how nerve wracking this is, trust me, but it really sounds like you guys are going to be fine. :)
