We had exactly the same experience (on the same day). Let's see which of us receives our green card first! :)

Hope the whole list gets the GC fast now. :) Then I can forget about USCIS for the rest of the year.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

So, am sitting here and my husband walks in saying I received the NOA saying I got approved.

The odd thing is:

- I never received the e-mail from CRIS.

- USCIS website still says "Petition Received" with no touches since February (day after my biometrics).

- The address on the bottom of the NOA is of my Local Office in San Juan and not VSC.

Weird or not, letter says GC comes within the next 60 days, so now I'll just wait for it and hope I'm really approved.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, approval date is 05/29/09.

wow i am from PR too uscis there not busy though, why mine they transfered bec. my states home in ca. i send in vsc transferred csc.

Hi, I remember you guys, you staryed the loooooong VJ more less when I started too in 2006. I got my 10 yr GC about a little bit than a month ago, and it happened the same to me. I got my GC while I never received any email from the Immigration nor my case status was updated. So actually until today if I put my case number on the Immigration website, it says that on October 2008 they received my docs & they will let me know........funny how they DO NOT update the cases on line, too bad for all of us.

Anyway, congratulations & all the best for everything.

Thank you!

And yes, I joined in 2006 when I (lucky me!) found this website when I was researching how to get married and stay here in Puerto Rico with my, then, fiance. Mine was an April K1 case. So far my entire journey has been pretty uneventful (we did get caught up on the implementation of IMBRA and it's delays) and has gone smoothly, hope it continues this way until I get the citizenship.

hey guys

i recieved my approval on april 27th and it said to wait 60 days for card---i did a service enquiry anyway and recieved a mail saying that my case was approved and PENDING card production in 60 days---i wonder is it possible to get the card in the mail without getting the card production email or any other notice or do you have to get some type of email or should we be checking our mailbox for the card everyday----i do know there is a 8 week delay but maybe it will come in the mail without any email notices?????

That's right Laura, I joined to VJ in 2006 (April) because by chance I bumped into it, and it was the luckiest thing could have happened to me. I'll be always grateful to VJ. Luckily we (my husband & I) didn't have to go through IMBRA at that time yet, and so far it has been a smooth way to us.

I hope it will keep going like that until my citizenship, which I don't know when I'll be ask for yet, so far.

But anyway good luck to you again & to all our friends here on VJ for their journey.
