the address on the cover sheet which came with the card was CSC, maybe they have another machine to the district offices to request printing on.

I was wondering about the delayed too but the interviewing officer told me and my hubby that the card production will last up to 3 months so, he stamped my passport and he told us that I should be fine with the stamp and I can even use it for employment and travel. After that, I applied for my licensure in our state since they required permanent residency. The bad thing was, they won't accept the passport stamp..so rediculous! They told us that we have to wait for the welcome letter or the GC for the basis! So stupid! Now, which is more important, the 1yr residency stamp or the welcome letter which only states "welcome to america"? But anyways, I already received the welcome letter and have applied for my licensure at the school district. Im just wondering why there is so much delayed for card production. My AOS was approved May 19th.

If there's much delay, I hope they will grant us 10yrs residency! I will not mind for the delays then if i get this! who knows?

Eternally destined,

Angel&Saint

Hey,

agree with you. I still check the mail everyday, but deep inside I really would love for the delay to get me a 10yr GC. :-)

I think the type of the card you'll receive is decided by the date of approval, not the date of actual receipt of the card. The welcoming letter also states what type of card you'll get. In mine, it says the 10 years validity, that's because we had been married longer than 2 years at the date of interview. I went down to the USCIS office and got the stamp in the passport, valid through December 31st, 2009. Then I went to SSA and requested the change of the wording on the SSN. Both without much hustle, in and out in about 10 mins.

11/17/08 : Application sent (I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765)

11/18/08 : Official receipt of documents stated on I-797C (Signature for receipt at USCIS was on 11/17/2008 at 10PM)

11/28/08 : NOA Received ( I-797C) for all 4 forms (forms issued on 11/26/2008)

12/18/2008: LUD on I-130, I-131, I-765

01/29/2009: Bio done

01/29, 30/2009: LUD on I485 and I765

2/10/2009: issued AP, valid 1 year for multiple entries.

2/23/2009: Got EAD card

3/8/2009: LUD on all applications. Shows approval of I131 and I765, still pending on I130, I485.

04/28/2009 at 9:30 AM: Interview. Told to wait 90 days for a resolution by mail.

05/01/2009: Card production ordered.

05/06/2009: Received approval NOAs for I130 and I485 (welcome notice, 10 years card). I130 still shows case received and pending.

06/18/2009: got the 10 years validity card. Process length: 213 days since sending the applications.

No RFE at all along the process.

The bad news is that we will be getting the type of card that was approved at the interview (as map1map already mentioned). But the good news is that the date on the card will be also the date of approval (doesn't matter when you get it in a mail), so we actually are already on the way to the removal of conditions :star:

I just returned from local USCIS office after getting I-551 stamp on passport. The temporary evidence is valid for one year. I guess we are set for an year now... with or without card.

did you take your spouse with you or did you go alone?

Congratulations. I think people without interviews are still getting their cards on "time".

Hope mine shows up in the mail today. :D
