Hi All!

I'm thrilled because my fiance just got his Visa in his passport!!! Yay!!! I'm so excited to finally be able to plan our lives.

I have one question. I live in LA but I will be in NYC next week and I thought it might be easier (since there are direct flight from Casablanca to JFK) to have him meet me there. Is there any problem with him flying into another state? We would stay in NY for a few days and then fly back to Los Angeles together.

Anyone know the answer??

Thanks so much for all your help and support!

Nope, not a problem at all. I planned for the same thing when my husband (then-fiance) and I were trying to figure out the whole POE thing. Thought it would be fun to meet in NYC and take a mini-vacation. Didn't pan out as my schedule conflicted.

By all means, go for it. :)

Congratulations!

CONGRATULATIONS and Happy Reunion! Make sure he gets his I-94 when going through POE at JFK.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Congratulations, JayandZou  That wasn't too long a wait! Take him up to the top of the Empire State Building, followed by a long romantic walk in Central Park, perhaps some boating on the lake. What better introduction to the U.S. of A. could you give him! It's so beautiful here now.

Thanks EVERYONE for your great responses! I'm walking on air today. We are sooo beyond thrilled. Yes, I will definately take him around and I have family/friends in NYC too! Everyone can't wait to meet him but I don't want to overwhelm him. We'll have 3 days in NY and then fly home to LA!

By the way, what is the 1 94? And... is there there anything else besides the I 94 and the EAD that he needs to get at POE Immigration?

Thanks!!
