Attempted to make copies of I-797 and I-797c

I was informed by a very well established copying firm that by reproducing the I-797 and the I-797c that was issued to me and my fiancee by the USCIS that this would constitute copyright infringments. They stated that they could make "black and white" copies but not "color" copies.

Anyone else ever hear of this? Will my fiancee need these copies for packet #3 or for the interview? If so can they be in black and white or should they be in color?

They are correct.. it's like copying money... it can only be done in black and white as well..

They are correct.. it's like copying money... it can only be done in black and white as well..

So I guess that it would be best to make my fiancee a package that includes BLACK & WHITE copies so that she doesn't end up in the U.S. Consulate prison facility.

Ok, so black and white it is. Oh, what I wrote above about the "prison facility" is meer humor, waiting for the k1 visa and having the patience, we all need a bit of humor.

I was told that THEY could not make the copy for me -- but I could make it at the self-service color copier myself.

Then, the problem was the self-service copier was not working.....the guy took it and made it for me really fast and told me not to tell anyone that he did it -- dah, like I would.

You can make all the copies of your documents you want. Copies are both acceptable AND required.

Kinda on the same topic, what about RFE, such as that wonderful blue sheet? I had it copied on blue paper!

i scanned the I-797 on the pc and printed it in color for AOS but photocopied my passport because it was too many pages of entry stamps to go through all that. *shrugs*

it applies for all copyrighted images & most gov't papers. In the future, do only black & white.
